So, it was a Muslim Imam that forced Galileo to recant? Nope it was the church. Are they doing it now? No.
So tell me, which religion is making the other recant their beliefs in favor of there own? Last I looked, it wasn't Chistians killing muslims or forcing their beliefs upon them for fear of beheading! But like the muslim mind, yours is a few hundred years slow I guess!

"Libraries do not do well when set afire ..."
Of course they don't. For those who doubt history:
The library at Alexandria actually competed with that at Pergamum in amassing the most complete collection of books in the world. This went on in the 200's B. C., and it is interesting to note that there were already so many works in existence that obtaining a copy of each would have been an impossible undertaking even then. The destruction of this priceless treasure was due to the mohammedens. Early in the year A. D. 642, Alexandria surrendered to Amrou, the Islamic general leading the armies of Omar, Caliph of Baghdad. Long one of the most important cities of the ancient world and capital of Byzantine Egypt, Alexandria surrendered only after a long siege and attempts to rescue the city by the Byzantines. On the orders of Omar, Caliph of Baghdad, the entire collection of books (except for the works of Aristotle) stored at the Library of Alexandria were removed and used as fuel to heat water for the city's public baths.
Fuel for the public baths? Well of course to wash the sand and blood off!

Some say that Rome never actually fell, that it is still here. Could be, and if so no newcomer wannabe empire such as the yemeni moslem bandits will ultimately prevail even if it takes another thousand years to send them back to their rock pile permanently.

If the muzzies ever had a golden age, which I doubt, then they have been exceedingly successful at stomping out any vestige of it to achieve their ultimate goal of living in the seventh century.

They may be right! Rome and Greece have so influenced this world that their empires may have never fallen ... just evolved ... like a rope-a-dope strategy.

It might be. Another thing is that islam has borrowed and rearranged many of the Christian and Jewish pieces, as well as added a handful of pieces of other things, so it might be possible to come to an agreement such as the treaties that ended the worst of the Catholic/Protestant wars in Europe a few centuries back. There might be enough common ground to formalize a live and let live policy when the players get tired of death and destruction.

Nope! Will never happen! They are not taught history, they are brought up and taught knowing only one thing ... the "koran"! It is all the truth (history, science)they need.

They are being taught something else in addition. They have a ripe and thriving apocalyptic tradition and a huge fan base even if outright Twelvers are usually suppressed.

Yep! But for some reason I still buy a can or two along with a pack of crackers. Sometimes a pack of Nabs and a Coke just does not make a proper lunch.

That is the one thing I can't understand. How could anyone embrace this cult especially Blacks. The cult god "allah" does not like dark skinned people.

Maybe the reason why blacks embrace Islam is because they think that Christianity is the "White Man's" or the "Slave Owner's" religion, or maybe they think they're getting in touch with their African roots.
The ironys are that the Moslem Arabs were the first foreign slavers of the African black, and that there are even today still Arabs who own black slaves. Basically, they're giving honor to a people who has done nothing but crap all over they're people and kick their asses for centuries. And as for "African roots", well I suspect that most of the black Africans who came over as slaves were probably animist or pagan.

It's the right religion for people on the go who don't have time to stop and think. If they were actually serious about it they would adopt one of the mechanized religions as found in high mountain areas where the air is too thin to support thought.
