President Bush held a news conference this morning in the Indian Treaty Room at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building in Washington, D.C. Click HERE for a complete transcript.
Later, the president signed The Tax Relief and Health Care Act of 2006, a bill that will extend tax relief to millions of American families and small businesses and add momentum to a growing economy. Click HERE for a complete transcript of the presidents remarks.
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice met with Andrew Natsios, U.S. special envoy to Sudan and Darfur, at the State Department.
And Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, along with Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman, General Peter Pace made a surprise visit to Baghdad where they met with troops and commanders to discuss future options in Iraq.

Yep, I did read that. It's been really nice here too :)
Awww...you rock :) I just wish I could've been there in 2004. *That* would've been really cool.

I suppose it is all last minute mail posted too late to arrive before Christmas and probably the mountain of insufficiently addressed mail that either has to be returned or try to deliver.
I always marvel at how well the post office does in delivering badly addressed mail.
I have received goods at work before with just my name on them no company name and only part of the industrial estate address. I think it helps that the postman sort at the local office their own particular deliveries so they get to recognise names etc.

So it will be a sort of tribute to her. Ahhhh, that is nice. I'm sure this will be a difficult Christmas for you and your dad. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
It looks like I'll be here on the Dose for Christmas, so you won't be alone. ;*)

Well, you did tell me that the number matched your age, but I don't remember the rest. It is very sweet of you to step back and let the others win too! Maybe I'll try again! LOL! I can't seem to get here on time any more!

I wish I would have been here in 2004, too! Actually, I was in VA during the '04 election...about 90 miles east of here and then 20 or so miles NW of here. Of course I had never heard of FR at that time.
It was in the mid 70s here Sunday and Monday!

I don't know about your country...but in this country postal workers are considered only a slight bit higher on the food chain than migrant workers...LOL
But, I dare say that before my Mom died, I could put a card in my mailbox for 39 cents on a Monday, and it would get to her mailbox in another city in Texas the next day, and THAT is a pretty good service to people.
