As Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton continues to assess a possible presidential candidacy and the contours of a Democratic nomination fight, she has taken another step away from her 2002 vote authorizing President Bush to attack Iraq by saying that she "wouldn't have voted that way" if she knew everything she knows now.
~snip~
This morning on NBC's "Today" show, Sen. Clinton was asked about her 2002 vote and offered a slightly evolved answer. "Obviously, if we knew then what we know now, there wouldn't have been a vote," she said in her usual refrain before adding, "and I certainly wouldn't have voted that way."

What a reptile...
Hillary suffers, like everyone else, from 20/20 hindsight.
What a creature...
Wonder how many voters have had the same thought since 1992 ...
..."Obviously, if we knew then what we know now, there wouldn't have been a vote," she said in her usual refrain before adding, "and I certainly wouldn't have voted that way."...
Hindsight is 20:20, witch. If there is an individual more dangerous for the USA than Hillary Clinton, it could only be John Kerry. God forbid this phony shrew has a shot at the presidency. I know God delivered us from both Gore and Kerry.
Flip. Flop.
Give me a break! I can't count the things I'd "do differently" knowing what I know today!.
Easy to say that now, spaghetti-spine.
Hillary suffers, like everyone else, from 20/20 hindsight.
______
Kind of, with 20/20 hindsight we should have been 10 times more aggressive with the "War on Terror"
Her version of 20/20 is voting FOR the war was politcally expedient at the time, making her more acceptable for the presidency.
Her saying she would have voted against the war now puts her on the side of the CURRENT popular opinion, while people worried about national security can still be fooled into thinking she's hawkish because she voted for the war.
If the war was PERCEIVED (meaning the exact same results, the media has perverted the truth) as being successful she would say she was right in voting for the war.
Like her degenerate husband she is a callous, craven, elitist pig who believes the idiots can always be fooled, she's right.
Oh...how touching! /sarc
The Hildebeest wants to have it both ways like Jean Kerry.
Hillary Rodham Kerry?
I detest that woman!
If, big if, the war in Iraq and its successes were covered better in the MSM so that more people knew what was really going on, and more of the public supported the war because of that, I'll bet she'd have said she'd have made the same vote if she'd had it to do over again.
Yeah, it's hard to make decisions like that and then live with the consequences, Hilly. It's better if you vote for war, and then not suck up to those who undermine it. Quite the quandary, isn't it? What will get you the most votes? Must be hard trying to figure that out. Good thing you are devoid of principles, that might save you.
By the way, doesn't it sound like this writer, David Chalian, is a bit cynical about Hillary!'s transparent crap?

Was that before or after she voted for it?
