Compare the cautious approach re the imams and 9/11 with the certainty evinced in post 77 re a nursing mom.

AMEN. Going after the passengers for flagging the imams and airline employees for doing their jobs is crazy. Then again, that's what PC is anyway.

What law did they break?

Their actions were terrorizing. They were purposely, without provocation, causing the passengers to fear for their own safety...and the so-called "holy" men knew it. The imams sat like the terrorists did on 9/11, they asked for the seat belt extenders, just to name a few actions.

Do they not understand that when they advocate for Islam, they are putting other Americans in danger?

Even more to the point, thay are putting themselves in danger.

Who knows how the terrorists sat on 9/11? I thought seating assignments were made by the boarding crew, or when booking. Certainly, not sitting together is not a "terrorist" act. Did the imams receive seat belt extenders from the stewardesses? If so, they couldn't have been all that concerned. Should we become afraid of middle-eastern looking men who wear sturdy belts when boarding an airplane?

How do you know that it was their intent to cause fear in the other passengers?

Lurker says those are facts not in evidence. We need to hold off on judgement.

"Evidence" my ass. 3 witnesses I read or heard from that plane corroborated those facts. Do I need a Dept of Justice Arab ass-kisser to present it as "evidence" to believe it?

Read the police report. It's online.

Among other things it includes statements that the seat belt extenders were not used and did not appear to be needed by the passengers who were not that heavy.

It also includes statememt by the flight attendants that the imam who moved to the first class seat did so without permission.

I think Gingrich just won my vote for President, simply for demonstrating a willingness to offend to put American security first.

Newt Gingrich/Ben Stein in '08

There are no other options at this time. Be a lot better than McCain/Rudy fiasco!

When was the last time you asked for permission to move to first class? The imam was just trying to cheat.

A seat belt extender is obviously not generally thought of as an assassin's weapon - not is a man's belt, though both could be used as such.

Why do you think they asked for the seat belt extenders?
