[Treasonous] Incoming Chairmen Ready to Investigate

Incoming Democratic committee chairmen say they will hold a series of hearings and investigations early next year to build the case for their call for a phased withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq and for possible action against defense contractors found to have wasted billions in federal funds.

The emerging plans to grill administration officials on the conduct of the war are part of a pledge for more aggressive congressional oversight on issues such as prewar intelligence, prisoner treatment at Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay, and the government's use of warrantless wiretaps.

Oh! I saw the word "investigate" and thought they meant William Jefferson, John Murtha, Allan Mollohan and Harry Reid.

I welcome their investigations.

Imagine Rumsfeld testifying, free to speak his mind.

Rummy will make them look like Idiots.

I honestly think they will shoot themsleves in the foot.

The truth will hurt them.

"...Most Democrat investigations devolve into a sort of Plame-Wilson charade so it should be quite easy for us to target some of the weaker characters on their side and destroy their stories...."

Agreed, but...getting the truth out, even with the traditional media being proven as treasonous and biased, time and time again, has proven difficult.

The MSM still holds the information gateway to millions of sheeple to whom it is their only source of information.

Maybe they can get Bin Laden to make a guest appearance to bolster their claims against GWB.

TWO a day?! Well I shouldn't be surprised, but I am. Its gonna be a long two years.

Look at the brighter side....with their endless "investigations", there will be less time for them to propose and legislate their moronic dreams and schemes....

LOL! Well, it IS a word, but.....

Hah...That's good enough for me, it's a word. English was my most terrible subject and what little I did learn I've forgotten, it was just too long ago. I never let those verbs and nouns and such get in the way of of a good story. And believe me when I say spellcheck is my friend. :-)

Ahhh. I know what you mean...I live in Massachusetts, so this is de rigeur around here.

I was driving down the main highway, and I saw a banner on a bridge that said "2,946".

Living in the land of moonbats, one knows immediately what that is. I was going to have a banner printed up, that I was going to place below it that would say "Military personnel gave their lives for the right to post this number"

But it was gone in a couple of days...

If they don't do it, they're no RATS! They never learn about what p***off the American people. They will have no time to push their agenda and with some Repub. spine exposing them in the coming hearings, the RATS will end up thrown out of power in '08.

The RATS can't force a withdrawal from Iraq unless they de-fund the war. If they try to do so, I don't believe that the American people will accept a repetition of the "forced defeat" in Viet Nam.

RedRover wrote: Hope we still have a country left by then.

Justa answered: It will be a miracle if we do.

Yes we will because I have faith in President Bush. OUR CIC will DO THE RIGHT THING.

Please excuse me for not considering my following thoughts to be "out of topic":

Attempting to de-fund the war may be the push that Bush needs to bomb Iran. He has 60 days to use the military without congressional authorization. That alone, to a large extent, will FINISH the war in Iraq by demolishing Sadr's Mahdi army, will fold Syria a la Qadhaffi thus benefiting Lebanon's democracy through orphaning Hizbollah and dealing a huge blow to Hamas.

One of the most important "intangibles": a shot across the bow of China and Russia informing them who the boss is. It's a warning about any bad ideas concerning North Korea, Taiwan and Middle Eastern meddling even if we have to take action without any support from our dear West European allies!

Great post Mel! You are on a roll today!

They will have no time to push their agenda and with some Repub. spine exposing them in the coming hearings.....

That's all I want for Christmas!!!

I don't believe that the American people will accept a repetition of the "forced defeat" in Viet Nam.

Agree 100% - but the American people had best start making their thoughts known now. The commies are gearing up for this very thing.

I have faith in President Bush. OUR CIC will DO THE RIGHT THING.

I join you in that faith!

Your additional thought are not "out of topic" and make more sense than anything I've heard recently. The next 60 days could turn out to be verrrry interesting. We support you President Bush.....git-r-done!!!

That just brought the biggest smile to my face!

I would pay BIG bucks to have a front row seat to watch that. ;*)

They're just, "doing the jobs Islamist fanatics can't do."

Baker certainly earned his Saudi-Whahabbi-Arab paycheck last month. I wonder how much Carter gets?

Carter works pro bono.
I think the falafals keep him regular.
