the quiz on the history of religion in Washington was really good, but it was difficult. It reminded me of my 9th grade US history quizzes that I took when I was younger. Although this time I unfortunately didn't pass, I only got 5 right...back to studying for me...

It's time to change Art IV and prohibit Muslims from holding office.

That's the only online history quiz that I failed. I am so ashamed. I got 5 correct, and one of those was a lucky guess.

I missed #3. I did not believe the Constitution mentioned God. The test says Article VI.

Here is article VI and I don't see it.

Article VI. - Debts, Supremacy, Oaths

All Debts contracted and Engagements entered into, before the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be as valid against the United States under this Constitution, as under the Confederation.

This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.

I got 5 out of 10, although I could make a case that Episcopalian, Presbyterian, and Lutheran are all Christian which is what I selected and therefore am technically correct.

Question 8: What Church have more presidents belonged to than any other?

A. Episcopal
B. Lutheran
C. Presbyterian
D. Christian

Was D supposed to be Catholic? Otherwise, they are all Christian denominations.

I got 6. Of course, I don't think question 10 really relates to the subject at hand. < /sour grapes>

In all seriousness, I am proud that the ones I missed were the ones least related to the issue of Separation of church and state, such as the one about Irving Berlin.

"Nor are we bound by any expressions in the constitution, as some have strangely supposed, either not to punish at all, or to punish indiscriminately the like attacks upon the religion of Mahomet or of the Grand Lama; and for this plain reason, that the case assumes that we are a Christian people, and the morality of the country is deeply ingrafted upon Christianity, and not upon the doctrines or worship of those impostors." RECTOR, ETC, OF HOLY TRINITY CHURCH v. U S, 143 U.S. 457 (1892)
