Senator Kerry is making a trip to Iraq. I just wanted everyone to know that I am emailing the troops I have addresses for, and asking them not to pose in photos with him. The sole purpose of the trip is to show the American public that everything is o.k. and to get photo ops to send to the AP. This is shameful.

good thinking...and my most humble thanks to your son for his service for the safety of our families and friends.
And I heard a rumor that he's a Vietnam Vet....
I agree, but if they "must" pose with him, crossed fingers helps.
The troops could insist he wear a "I'm with stupid" shirt.
Just a botched joke there.
After all, Kerry is absolutely shameless anyway.
MAD TV presidential debate. They beat up on Bush pretty good but Jon Carry was clearly the loser in this one.

Not that I know any of this as a civilian, but don't the officers issue orders for troops to pose with such dufii as JFK and Hillary!?
Wouldn't it be ironic if Kerry missed his flight out, and he would end up being "stuck in Iraq?"
They can, and I'm sure some do. When Clinton was President, he flew in to Kaneohe Bay, where dh was stationed. They guys were given a "choice" of lining up and meeting with him or a working party. My dh chose the working party.
My son was an officer. I can't speak for the rest, but I can tell you he would NEVER have ordered anyone to pose with him. If a higher commander ordered it, they would use some sign, like the crossed fingers. I hope they come up with something.
Thanks-I love this photo. With Kerry, it should be the "bird".
Hopefully the troops will tell him they are to busy protecting Iraqis and doing their jobs, they don't have time to make him look good...
Besides, he said if you don't graduate college then your stupid and can be in Iraq....the troops don't have time for him, and they are way to classy to be anywhere around him...
He isn't anyone important, such as Rummy, the President or Condi or Rush or Hannity....he's just a senator and that isn't anything important....
They ought to take him out on a patrol. See how he handles himself. I mean he was a "hero", right? Right? Who knows, he may fall on a grenade and really get his face in the news. Ya think?
Oh, I misunderstood.
not
Great idea....I'll e-mail a few cousins.
MY guys a few years ago had a permanent order from me to NEVER get into a photo-op with anyone not in their chain of command.......and since I'm from MA....to never even talk to Teddy and John. Just walk away....say nothing.
I'd like to know what kind of responses you get back.
