" Oh puuuuuleaze. Not that nonsense.
* Fossils
* Mountains
* Continental Drift
* Diamonds
* Carbon Dating
* The Red-Blue Doppler shift of the stars in our ever expanding universe
* And yeah, Dinosaurs
All PROVE otherwise. The earth is 4.5 Billion years old, deal with it.
(Then there's that '7 day' thing, but that's another matter)"
Those objections are not that hard to overcome. Just think what the bible says about creation. Trees etc were created bearing fruit, man and woman was created, not boy and girl. The point is, the earth was created in a mature state, so all your evidence above can be correct and still fit in a creationists paradigm. Ages is one thing of course, evolution is another and I cannot think of a way evolution and creationism can fit together. I personally don't put much stock in evolution because if all there is was created by random mutation, the fossil record should be crammed full of things that did not make it, and it isn't. That's my two cents.

Uh? It is. "not making it" is called going extinct.
Almost everything in the fossil record didn't make it. Most fossils are examples of exctinct organisms.

Simple. Just think, "God did it"!
Is it that hard to fathom that evolution is a process guided by God? And that the 7 days in the bible are not literal days? Think about it. What is a "day?" It's a 24 hour period from one noon to the next noon. Before day and night existed, here was no "day" and therefore a "day" could be any length of time God wanted it to be. Or a day could actually be an era.
Just think what the bible says about creation. Trees etc were created bearing fruit, man and woman was created, not boy and girl.ANd howcome trees are not made ot 'tree stuff', boys made of 'boy-stuff' and girls made of 'girl-stuff', but rather they ALL share a common basis in biology not to mention matter itself?
Is this not the GREATEST charade then?
You are forgetting that very few things were fossilized - one out of a million, if that. The vast majority of plants and animals rotted away after death - very, very few were fossilized. The lack of fossils doesn't prove anything.
I have never had the slightest problem reconciling evolution with God. Some one had to plan and create the mechanics of evolution - just like some one had to plan and create our complicated weather system. I don't think God sits around and causes every drop of rain, I think he designed the system to work on its own. I see no reason why He couldn't have done the same thing for the system of evolution.
