The President and First Lady spent the weekend at the White House attending church as usual and also attended Christmas in Washington an annual Christmas event which was taped on Sunday.
Today the President and Vice President met with the Secretary of State at the State Department to discuss the situation in Iraq.
Over the weekend the outgoing Secretary of Defense Don Rumsfeld made a farewell visit to the troops in Iraq.
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island

Hi mystery! Just got home from a meeting and caught just a bit of Sean with the troops. Toward the end of tonight's show, Sean asked 'why' the soldiers do this hard job....one soldier just got to my heart...he said something to the effect...'this may sound trite'...but "we love our country". The liberals and media just can't understand this....seems patriotism is not an "in thing" these days.
Our soldiers NEED to know how much we love and appreciate them ...cause they protect the country that we, too, love.

I stopped reading Peggy Noonan's columns I did too. I think she is experiencing burn-out.

At this point...I am hoping that the MSM may be "killing" their golden goose by giving him too much hype and exposure.
I can't believe that even the liberals wouldn't be sick of him after 2 years of having him on the news EVERY night!
Even Pres. Bush doesn't get as much news time as Osama Obama anymore.

Last week, Fox had a story about Obama being involved in a real estate deal with someone that may be "shady". Haven't seen this story reported anywhere else.

Okay...I want to know what Dr. Phil is doing on stage of a Christmas music show?? Don't know, but both he and his wife hosted the same show last year. And Mrs. Dr. Phil (lol) hosted the White House decoration thing last week. They must be best buds.
December 2005, President and Mrs. Bush sing "Hark, the Herald Angels Sing!" along with Dr. Phil McGraw, his wife Robin, left, and Carrie Underwood, right, during the 24th Annual Christmas in Washington at the National Building Museum in downtown Washington D.C.

It was I kept clicking on the photos to open and they would not I think NTL have a few problems in my area the TV has been on and off all day.
Then the cable Internet went down just as I was preparing the dose so I slung up my other machine in case I had to do it from dial up.
By that time the cable was back then it went down again started to prepare on dial up and then the cable came back so continued with the cables very frustrating.

I ask this every year, but can someone please post the picture of Ronald Reagan dressed as Santa and Nancy is sitting on his lap? I have those pics if Snugs doesn't.

YES...YES!!! Do try and catch the re-run later. The first part is Sean and Rummy, which was outstanding. The next segment was Sean talking to Ollie in Ramadi. Then Sean had a town hall with the troops!!! Just wonderful! MUST SEE!

I do know that Dr. Phil lived in Dallas for a long time..even after he became Oprah's pet!!
But, of course fame took him to California...
Maybe they were friends when Pres. Bush owned the Rangers...
I have heard that there is a possiblity that the Bush's may buy a house in the Dallas area as well as having their ranch in Crawford...especially since SMU is supposedly the front runner for the Presidential Library..
And I am praying hard SMU gets it...since I live in this area.
I am always so jealous of the freepers that live in the SO. Cal area..and meet and go to the Ronald Reagan Library...
So..if Pres. Bush's is here...maybe some freepers can come here and meet and we can go visit in YEARS (whenever it is finished being built..lol)
