~snip~
Back in 1990, Baker convinced Syria to join the Gulf War coalition against Saddam Hussein. Now, he wants this George Bush to talk to Syria ... and Iran, too.
"It has to be hard-nosed, it has to be determined," Baker said in a television interview in October. "You don't give away anything, but in my view, it's not appeasement to talk to your enemies."
But this president may not be in much of a hurry to accept Baker's ideas about that or much else. Asked if Baker would help implement the report, a spokesman for Mr. Bush said, "Jim Baker can go back to his day job."

Jim "F*ck the Jews" Baker wants to sell out Israel and appease Iran and Syria. His report isn't fit to be used as toilet paper. Baker is an arab lover and anti-semite.

"I wonder what old man Poppy is thinking right about now. It may be an uncomfortable family Christmas."
Oh, I don't know. Poppy's a pretty good fella. Here's my family scene:
Poppy: "Son, I'm sorry. I didn't realize Baker was such a d*ck."
Dubya: "That's all right, pop. Say, you can make it up to me, though. Disown my brother Bill, and we'll call it even!"

You are one of my favorite freepers, and I do not like McCain that much, but McCain came up yesterday against the Iraq Surrender Group report and he is absolutely right to do so.

Back in 1990, Baker convinced Syria to join the Gulf War coalition against Saddam Hussein. All he had to do to get Syria's "support" was to look the other way while the Syrians slaughtered Lebanese Christians by the thousands. Funny how that never gets mentioned while the media deifies Baker.

You know, I think "old man poppy" has been deeply hurt by his "friends" in Washington over this entire thing. I base that on his emotional break during the speech in Florida.
There is no doubt in my mind who he backs in this. And it isn't his old friend Baker. And it isn't John McCain who started this entire analytical idiocy.

I would have written that report for them in a week and only charged $5K. And it would probably be of more use. This thing should be filed in the dumpster immediately. Too bad the President is too presidential to say what he is really going to do with it!

I don't know. I tell you who are DOA. McCain, Hagel and Newt. IF they lack the guts to speak truth to the Media Noise Machine on Iraq, they lack the guts to be President. IF they cannot stand up on Iraq, what would they sell out on as President. So go find you a real Conservative.
BTW, we did NOT get "2 Judges" out of the gang of 14 we threw a way the dozens tied up in committee plus the 2 throw under the bus because the Democrats could keep things tied up. The Nuke option would of got us the 2 SC Justices plus all the lower court judges.
Harriet Meirs was put up BECAUSE Bush needed to find out who the Gang would back. She was one of the few people ON their list that were on his. So quit looking for excuses to be mad at Bush. Actually LOOK at what is going on in DC.
John McCain basically cost us 2006 with his always obstructionist sabotage. On not ONE thing did he come out and actually support the Republicans. NOTHING. He always tried to be on both sides. McCain is DOA.
IF the Republican establishment keeps pushing McCain, I simply will donate neither money nor time to help them in 2008. I will not vote for them, I will not vote against them, I will do nothing. Since the DC Old Boy's club lead by John McCain has done NOTHING for 6 years, I will return the favor in 2008,
Find yourself another boy if you want to win in 2008. McCain is DOA.

McCain is the godfather of this group! It was part of his pound of flesh for letting the the 2005 Iraq Appropration threw.
I guess the polling data must be really bad if McCain is all ready running away from what he created!
Either that or he is simply pulling a Clinton. Trying to be in the middle. Both against "that Cowboy Bush" and the Iraq Surrender Group.

Yeh, but he goes back with a pocket full of money he earned by being on the ISG.
Why are we not being told how much each of these illustrious 21st Century intelligencia earned for their service on the ISG?
