You are one of my favorite freepers, and I do not like McCain that much, but McCain came up yesterday against the Iraq Surrender Group report and he is absolutely right to do so.
McCain is the godfather of this group! It was part of his pound of flesh for letting the the 2005 Iraq Appropration threw.
I guess the polling data must be really bad if McCain is all ready running away from what he created!
Either that or he is simply pulling a Clinton. Trying to be in the middle. Both against "that Cowboy Bush" and the Iraq Surrender Group.
Not only McCain came out against it, but so did Giuliani. Hmmmm. The two top front-runners for the Republican Nomination both came out against the report. I think the real practical impact of this report has been gravely misoverestimated.
