National Security: As Iran and North Korea continue to develop nukes and the missiles to carry them, Demo crats are preparing to gut missile defense. This may be a session that lives in infamy.
Shortly after the election results made him chairman-elect of the Senate Armed Service Committee, Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich., made it clear that high on his agenda is making sure Americas fledgling missile defense dies on the vine.
Levin doesnt come right out and say that. At a post-election press conference on Capitol Hill, he just said he wanted ballistic missile defense systems that were fully tested and reliable before hed support their deployment.
Levin takes the typical Democrat position of test forever and deploy never. In addition to the sea-based Aegis system being deployed on American destroyers and cruisers, our missile defense consists of 11 interceptors deployed in silos at Fort Greeley, Alaska, and at Vandenburg Air Force Base in California....

Levin...... someone should take those ridiculous glasses off his nose and .... well I can't say it!
It's a sick joke to have a liberal, socialist, military-hating democrat in charge of the Senate Armed Services Committee.
We won't be laughing when our defenses are trashed and the terrorists begin destroying our country again.
Lefties can never learn because, to them, the results of their policies don't matter one whit -- it's whether or not their intentions were "pure" that justifies their actions.
It's the reason why they make the same dumb mistakes over and over again and never seem to learn from history. To them, their motives are golden and they, therefore, should never change their views.
Rats are Rats. I wish someone could post the poster Rush put out in the 90's. The poster showed the Rats fleeing from the light of EIB. It was priceless. All the faces depicted on the scurrying rats were well executed and hilarious.
If anyone has access and can provide, it will occasion much mirth and appreciation to reprise this timeless classic. For years my arch-conservative brother had it displayed in full glory, full size on his refrigerator!
To the Congress of the United States
Yesterday, Dec 7,1941 - a date which will live in infamy - the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Iran.
The United States was at peace with that nation and, at the solicitation of Iran, was still in conversation with the government and its emperor looking toward the maintenance of peace in the Pacific.
Indeed, one hour after ISLAMIC air squadrons had commenced bombing in Oahu, the ISLAMIC ambassador to the United States and his colleagues delivered to the Secretary of State a formal reply to a recent American message. While this reply stated that it seemed useless to continue the existing diplomatic negotiations, it contained no threat or hint of war or armed attack.
It will be recorded that the distance of Hawaii from Iran makes it obvious that the attack was deliberately planned many days or even weeks ago. During the intervening time, the ISLAMIC government has deliberately sought to deceive the United States by false statements and expressions of hope for continued peace.
The attack yesterday on the Hawaiian islands has caused severe damage to American naval and military forces. Very many American lives have been lost. In addition, American ships have been reported torpedoed on the high seas between San Francisco and Honolulu.
Yesterday, the ISLAMIC government also launched an attack against Malaya.
Last night, ISLAMIC forces attacked Hong Kong.
Last night, ISLAMIC forces attacked Guam.
Last night, ISLAMIC forces attacked the Philippine Islands.
Last night, the ISLAMIC attacked Wake Island.
This morning, the ISLAMIC attacked Midway Island.
Iran has, therefore, undertaken a surprise offensive extending throughout the Pacific area. The facts of yesterday speak for themselves. The people of the United States have already formed their opinions and well understand the implications to the very life and safety of our nation.
As commander in chief of the Army and Navy, I have directed that all measures be taken for our defense.
Always will we remember the character of the onslaught against us.
No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated invasion, the American people in their righteous might will win through to absolute victory.
I believe I interpret the will of the Congress and of the people when I assert that we will not only defend ourselves to the uttermost, but will make very certain that this form of treachery shall never endanger us again.
Hostilities exist. There is no blinking at the fact that our people, our territory and our interests are in grave danger.
With confidence in our armed forces - with the unbounding determination of our people - we will gain the inevitable triumph - so help us God.
I ask that the Congress declare that since the unprovoked and dastardly attack by Iran on Sunday, Dec. 7, a state of war has existed between the United States and the Islamic empire.
Good to hear from you again! Long time no post!
Just curious...
It's a long tradition...
I am sick and tired of hearing these linguine spine talking head spew lies and distortions. There were WMD's in Iraq, The yellow-cake that Saddam was seeking in Nigeria was true. Al queda and its reps were in Iraq with the blessings of its leader. It even had a training camp at Salam Pak. Lewicite and mustard gas was dumped in the Tigris and Euphrates. Not to mention 17 UN resolutions that were violated. Also Checlovakian intel was correct in its assertions about Al Queda and Saddam Hussein. Now I am no intelligence officer any more but when I was those tidbits of information make a great case.
If I was a police officer and I went into a house saw a printing press, paper, ink, and printing plates with $20 bill images on it but no bill I would have to say that counterfeit operations were going on.
You're a Great American!! And definitely smarter than most.
Keep up the good work; hope you are enjoying your deployment!!
