Last year a whole Episcopal church left and joined the Roman Catholic church here in Houston.

I'm surprised they exist in of all places, California.

Religion is the opium of the people when they mainline it.

Isn't there an Anglican pinglist? Do you think they should be pinged?

Good move by the San Joaquinians. It is disturbing when the main English (and Welsh) part of the church is more conservative than the main American part.

Sorry to keep asking these questions, but apparently organizing a webpage is very difficult. If http://www.freerepublic.com/~jedimasterpikachu/ is very disorganized on your screen, can you freepmail?

We voted with our feet years ago, when the new prayer book was brought in. There are numerous Roman Catholic churches that have adapted services for Episcopalians who still want the traditional services and in Denver we have a few Anglican churches functioning. It's just too few so far.

The Anglican Provence of Christ the King: http://www.anglicanpck.org/about/index.html, is ready to join with all Episcopalians/Anglicans to maintain a traditional Christian Church. APCK has been in existance since 1979. Contact!

The headline isn't accurate, but it IS the Grey Lady after all -- she's been a bit dotty of late...

Episcopal Churches to Vote on Departure
Fairfax [VA] Congregations Dismayed by Direction
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/12/03/AR2006120301186.html?nav=rss_email/components

Two of the country's largest and most historic Episcopal congregations -- both in Fairfax County -- will vote next week on whether to leave the U.S. church on ideological grounds and affiliate instead with a controversial Nigerian archbishop. The decision could lead to a bitter court battle and the loss of $25 million in property.

It's about time!!!

1 Corinthians 5:11-13
 11.  But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat.
 12.  What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside?
 13.  God will judge those outside. "Expel the wicked man from among you."
