Imams and apple pie: Joseph Farah pummels 'holy men' who 'probed' airline defenses
WorldNetDaily.com ^ | 12/2/06 | Joseph Farah

Posted on 12/01/2006 11:51:49 PM PST by JohnHuang2

Can you believe the six imams kicked off the US Airways flight in Minneapolis are threatening to sue?

Can you believe they're walking around free rather than being held and investigated for "probing" on behalf of terrorists?

Can you believe most of the media coverage of this incident focuses on possible civil rights violations and inappropriate religious "profiling"?

Let's review the facts of the case:

Several passengers on the flight complained to the crew about excessively loud "praying" by the Muslim "holy men." They complained that they were moving around the plane. An air marshal characterized their behavior as a "[political correctness] probe." Even before they boarded the flight, passengers and the flight crew reported the imams prayed loudly, then, once boarding began playing musical chairs – switching from their assigned seats in a configuration used by terrorists in previous incidents. Two even moved to the front of first class, while two others moved toward the middle of the plane and the last two moved toward the back – effectively giving them control of exits. They asked for seat-belt extensions, which could conceivably be used as weapons, and then threw them under their seats rather than use them. Both before boarding and after, they made a spectacle of themselves chanting about "Allah and the United States."

What would you do if you were on that flight?

What would you do if you were part of the crew?

What would you do if you were the air marshal?

Apparently, what you would be expected to do by second-guessers not actually on the flight would be to smile and think pleasant thoughts about multiculturalism and pluralism.

We're supposed to believe that this wasn't planned?

We're supposed to believe these guys didn't know what they were doing?

We're supposed to believe that this wasn't a deliberate effort to test the boundaries of tolerance?

These imams are now on a national publicity tour trying to persuade us that they are as American as apple pie – that they did nothing wrong or even suspicious. Don't buy it.

And if these imams are permitted to win a lawsuit against US Airways, say goodbye to airline security in America.

Five years after Sept. 11, 2001, political correctness appears to be a more powerful force in our country than the safety and security of American citizens.

It's really quite unbelievable.

It's quite clear that these six imams have an agenda beyond acceptance of their religion by Americans.

Most Americans don't pre-judge Muslims as terrorists. But when they act like terrorists, when they don't act like good Americans, when they clearly test our tolerance, when they "probe" our defenses, then Americans have the right and duty to treat them with the utmost suspicion.

What do you think would happen to you if you acted this way on a flight?

It seems like these activists don't really want to be treated equally, they want to be treated in a special way – with more deference, with more understanding.

I don't like traveling any more in this country. I don't like it because of the extra security that is in place – much of it by necessity – because of what happened Sept. 11. I minimize my travels because of the inconvenience and hassle.

But we're at war. And the hassles are a small price to pay to ensure we save American lives and emerge from this war victorious some day.

Americans must not succumb to the temptation to be "politically correct" by overlooking suspicious behavior. That would be a grave – if not fatal – tactical error in this war.

Personally, I think it's a deliberate attempt by the radical Islamists in this country to hamstring our people into inaction.

You fear reprisal lawsuits and 'racist' allegations so you ignore inappropriate and suspicious behaviour.

Pretty soon, 'no one sees anything' and we're back to the same blindness that we were pre-9/11.

I fear in my soul that the day of reckoning is almost here.

Islam uses the weaker aspects of Democracy against us.

You think Christians have comparable access to litigation, political correctness and tolerance under Sharia Law??

In the ideological struggle of our lifetime, it's the one with the most committed fighters that will prevail. And sadly to say, it appears as if we've already surrendered.

You are spot on John. Islam is correctly using our PC attitude against us. We stand in line to buy games, not to vote. We keep up with Brittany but not with world affairs. I feel that unless we wake up (and sadly we didn't even after 9/11), our days are numbered.

The St. Paul Pioneer press ran a "Flying While Muslim," story weeping openly about how these fellows were mistreated. I wrote the reporter, asking what he thought would happen if a group of nuns started reciting the rosary while flying in Saudi Arabia.
"Probably nothing..." was his response. Naive fools in a dying industry.

At least there is one silver lining. The current process does more to punish the innocent and treat Americans like the enemy in their own country, than it does to prevent terrorists and people trying to go to Cuba (remember that phase?).

The questions would be, 1. How do we defend ourselves from terrorists on airplanes; 2. How does government recover from the drug of spending and actually try not to spend the TSA budget elsewhere?

As we become more willingly blind, and blank out all to 9/11/01, we see no colors, our choice seems to only white, the white of our surrender flag. That is victory to those that are bored with liberty and freedom!!!!!!

. Unless you think that had larger numbers of conservatives voted for Republicans, who were acting like Democrats, would somehow have made us safer from Jihadists and their many liberal apologists here.

I'm afraid we haven't seen anything yet. The pretend Republicans *have* kept us safer than the real democrats will. Why else has the enemy been thrilled about the results of the election?

I would like to think that I would have shot the bastards.

You got that right...

Political correctness is going to get us all killed.

Typical of the arrogance of Muslims who are deluded with the fascist notion that they are superior to the nonbelievers, these people are demanding the right to shout 'FIRE' in a crowded theater. They should be banned from future flights on any domestic airlines. Since they are so fond of whining, the least we can do is give them something to whine about.

"Most Americans don't pre-judge Muslims as terrorists."

What??? I do, until I hear otherwise from prominent muslim organizations taking the side of the USA. Until I hear muslims pledge their oath of loylaty to the US, they are under suspicion.

Islam - and I won't couch this in PC weasel words "radical islam" - is a clear and present danger to the US and the West, a Trojan Horse that we have allowed through the gates under the pretext of "freedom of religion".

The line has been drawn in the sand, and those who fail to understand truth, correct principles reality, and the wisdom of the founding fathers will ultimately find themselves on the wrong side of the line, where even being in the majority will not be of value.

Only 30% of the citizens during the Revolution, were the backbone. The remaining were traitors, and those drug along for the ride fearful of King George and his army, or just fearful of change. Luke warm at best, and actively against at worse.

Sadly the percentages don't seem to change over time. Truth does not change.

If they do sue let them explain why they asked for and then disgarded seatbelt extensions.

These types should be discriminated against as much as possible until such time as none are allowed to remain in the U.S. except under lock and key.

[The pretend Republicans *have* kept us safer than the real democrats will.]

There have been some Republicans only too happy to join the Democrats in sabotaging tax cuts, fiscal responsibility, non activist judges, the principle of smaller government and even our national security for the sake of appearing as "moderates" to the media. I don't see how the "R" attached to their name makes them more worthy of support than if they had a "D" (or an "I" like Sen. Lieberman) instead.

When they speak, act and vote like a typical Democrat in condemning our intelligence gathering policies and military missions and trying to turn our war against the Jihadists back into a law enforcement problem for the international police squad to deal with, then what is the value of having them on our "team"?

The Republican Party of today may not control Congress any more, but they damn well better be intent on aggressively opposing the Democrats if they know what's good for them in '08.
