First, I want to thank everyone who has prayed for Kasey and our family. Good news! Kasey was finally taken of the respirator yesterday and talked to his brothers and family on the telephone. Kasey will leave ICU today and they look for him to be home by Christmas. The doctors tell us that Kasey's heart has suffered damage and equate it to that of a person who suffers a heart attack. He will not be able to go back to school this year, but his heart is well enough to carry him forward, hopefully for many more years.
The prayers offered on Kasey's behalf and my family, have touched hearts and healed many hurts. God is working in and through Kasey. Your many kind words and prayers have shown me how that happens. Thank you all.
