NY Times Scolds Public for Holiday Shopping (Marxist trust baby alert!)
Fox News | 11/28/06

Posted on 11/27/2006 1:21:36 PM PST by pabianice

David Corn of "The Nation" was just on Fox, scolding viewers for trying to enjoy the holidays while we are at war in Iraq. Picking-up on the New York Times' latest rant, Corn glared into the camera and grimly reiterated the message from "Putz" Sulzberger and his staff of leftist trust babies: 'How dare you shop and enjoy the holidays while we are involved in a war of which we at the Times personally disapprove?'

LOL! And "Don't Tread on Me!"

Saw this "Corn-y" interview with Cavuto...

Thought Neal put him in his place fairly well before sending him away...

Democrat's are now in charge and EVERYONE will share the pain.

Is the NYT taking in advertisements while we are at war? I must of missed the ones telling me not to shop this past weekend and miss all those great bargains.

Well then, the first thing the NYTimes needs to do is to forego all those holiday advertisements so as not to encourage the masses to indulge in shopping, travel, eating out, going to shows, or other sinful and irresponsible activities.

Better yet, why don't tney suspend publication all together for the holiday season?

Excuse me but doesn't the NYT see the relationship between their retail advertisers and "Holiday Shopping"?

Is it marxist? The puritans banned Christmas for being too pagan. Were they marxist?

Corn doesn't get it; his thinking is too simplistic and emotional. The violence we're seeing in Iraq is part of the reason why Saddam's regime had to go. Saddam's regime and the Baath party were filled with violent, brutal people who brutalized the Shiites for decades. That regime had to go before it brutalized us with WMD. The Shiites are now getting payback and this has escalated into a cycle of violence, but it won't last forever. Does anyone at the NY Times remember Northern Ireland and the IRA? Those bombings went on for 20 years inside otherwise civilized Europe.
