It doesn't need any special designation. Ph.D. in Math says it all!

You need an expert to verify numbers that large.

You need a Ph.D. in math.

Haven't started yet. I still have to apply for and complete a lay ministry program. That will take at least a year. After that it gets complicated.

Preaching is what I want to do eventually. Mathematics were my thing, until calculus. Differential equations somehow twisted my wee brain in knots.

Hippie-folks, dropouts of this-or-that, but also a significant proportion of incredibly talented people, in one way or another.

My thoughts on SCA folk. "Misfits" is a term I'd use in general, but I've long since learned that much of the (American) world defines the term in a way different from mine, and far more negatively. (Oddly I learned my definition in the Midwest, where I think they/we are less accomodating than the coastal cultures.)

"One of my uncles told a "prison story""

What was he in for?

Please. It was the shame of our family for many generations.

In a world of hard-fisted drinking and fighting, and going off to war and coming back still ready to go at it, he ...

(Oh the shame!) ... he ... (Oh, I can't say it!)

(He wrote poetry!)
