Thanks for your cooperation.
Der Prinz and I met in the SCA, when I was in college and he was in the Air Force, in San Antonio, TX. (Barony of Bjornsborg, Kingdom of Ansteorra - the "Lone Star" Kingdom :-).
Hippie-folks, dropouts of this-or-that, but also a significant proportion of incredibly talented people, in one way or another.
We stopped participating when we had children, because we felt it wasn't a good environment for them. Drugs, drunkenness, promiscuity. Also, we had jobs and stuff. We're still in touch with some of our old friends, and I'd wear 12th Century dresses all the time, if I could get into the truck and not raise a ruckus at Wal-mart.
Your theory would hold up, if your son claimed the cat could talk to him.
The minds of little boys are always volatile. Who knows what ideas they dream up?
Happy New Year!
Republic of Georgia wine, "Tamada" brand, "Khvanchkara" type, semi-sweet red, very popular with the folks here. Goes well with pretzels. Get yourself some!
Agnes and Pat didn't have a good relationship. She was getting pretty senile by the time he could walk. Sometimes he runs into a corner, throws himself on the floor, and yells, "The cats can't see me!" which is weird because we don't have a cat right now - just a fish and two gerbils. (The gerbils can see him, as far as I know. Their brains must be too small for him to manipulate.)
My oldest (almost 16) has been messing with Pat's mind for a couple of years, so she'll get to pay for his therapy if he doesn't turn out normal. He was 5 last week, and he can read English and French, and he's learning Greek.
Happy New Year, tulip! Give 'em heck!
Hey there, Dr. tulip. It's been awhile! You hanging out here for the big ball drop tonight?
Hi GD! Long time no see. Ping to post #4,464.
I'm not sure if I'll ring in the new year in here or not. I have no plans, though.
Same to you , tulip!!!
I'll be here. Just busy watching football and trying to get back to 3rd shift time in time for work tomorrow night. Other than that, nothing special.
He can read English and French? and is learning Greek? That's quite an accomplishment. The experts say the time to teach someone other languages is when they're young children.
Maybe I can start my son on some Spanish.
You are so cool.
Of course. ;-)
I just the rest of FR knew how cool you were.
The ranks have thinned as we get closer to the new year.
Only the cool remain.
Does that make me cool?
Best wishes to your all.
Not true.
I'm here.
Aw, common Amish, you're way cool!
