I agree. In most network TV, the kids are disrespectful to their parents, or parents are treated as boobs, there is no respect for tradition or authority, and kids seem to live lives completely apart from any adult intervention or supervision. High schoolers have problems I didn't hear about until I was out of college.

I can't believe I'm saying this. I guess I am officially an old fogey (or an angry boomer, which is getting way too close to being the same thing).

Network TV means "West Wing" where everyone congratulates themselves for being Liberals.

You have every right to say that. Kids ARE disrepectful to parents/adults in both the newer sitcoms and in cartoons. The tone of voice is whiney and demanding.

I think you just said it. Too much reality stuff now, that is actually not too realistic. I miss the stories, like miniseries used to do. TV used to be a way to get away from daily life for awhile, now it embodies the absolute worst of it.
