Anyone can set up a deuterium boiler. The kid in this article is clearly no David Hahn.

While I try to maintain an open mind about these kinds of things I don't understand how admitting deuterium into a vacuum and applying an electrical charge would overcome the mutual repulsion of the electron clouds surrounding the atoms much less the mutual repulsion of the protons in the nucleus once the electron cloud was overcome. Either some details are missing here or Hydrogen isn't really being converted into Helium as it is in the stars.

Olson's machine consists of a vacuum that sucks air out, and then deuterium -- a form of hydrogen -- is injected into the vacuum. He then charges electricity into the vacuum, causing the atoms in the center to be attracted to one another, creating nuclear fusion.

Fusion at low pressure, are there any hydrinos present? (Just my way of saying bullsh|t.)
