BENTONVILLE, AR, November 15, 2006 (LifeSiteNews.com) - A graphic sex-ed manual promoting lesbianism to teenage girls has been dropped by Wal-Mart only days after LifeSiteNews.com published a story exposing Wal-Mart's sale of the controversial book.

Produced by St. Stephens' Community House in Toronto, the book is titled "The Little Black Book for Girlz: A Book on Healthy Sexuality". Parents were outraged when they learned of the book which gives detailed instruction for teens to engage in lesbian sex acts.

There's hope, as long as normal people stop being so complacent, and do something!

But is Life Site doing the same to all other retailers of this book, or just WalMart?

From lifesite:
Although it was produced in Canada, the book was apparently only available in Wal-Marts in the United States. Wal-Mart Canada responded to concerns about the book saying, "This book is not available for sale in Canadian Wal-Mart stores and we have no plans to stock it."

A Wal-Mart advertisement for the book was listed on the Wal-Mart website, but the web page which listed the information now says: "Product Not Found!"

So...the book was never sold anywhere in a store in Canada. They say it was sold in US stores, but no one has come forward to say they bought one on any of the threads posted on FR. The WalMart site offered this book among many others. When customers objected, they immediately pulled the book. Now, think this over. We give credit to lifesite.com in Canada. Can we please give a little credit to WalMart?

Until then, my family of seven plus spoiled dog is shopping elsewhere. It's hard, I was accustomed to WM, but now my grocery bill has been about $200 less per month. All of those deals and impulse items were doing me in. However, if WM would retract their support and such for this group, I would return to shop there.

I'm willing to bet it got by the Walmart "suits." As soon as they found out, the book was canned (and probably the buyer responsible for this embarassment).

Unfortunately, the authors will use this in a guerilla marketing campaign stressing rebellion, and it'll sell a million copies.

I totally agree with you about having concerns about this book, whether it be WM selling it or Amazon or any other store. And that has been my gripe about this all along. I'm not defending the book or WM selling it, just the fact that it is only WM named as a seller of the book.

Why, for example, wasn't Amazon targetted, or better yet, the publisher of the book? Why the retailer?

Double standards are a touchy issue with me and this continual bashing of WalMart, from all sides just reeks of double standards.

--They still are going to give some gay group 5% of their online sales.--

Only the online sales generated from that website.

St. Stephen's Community House is an independent organization..not Catholic.

I don't think St. Stephen would be proud of your comment.

What are the policies of the stores you switched to? More than likely they are more progressive and pro-union than Walmart.

Yes I do. I have no problem with inclusiveness, but to perform their marketing and sales techniques as they always have, without making any special exception to any groups, IS inclusive and should offend no one.

Life site does make people aware of all companies and their policies, yes. Walmart for reasons of them always aligning themselves with a large Christian sector of society is what brought them to the forefront. But yes, other companies, such as Ford, GM, and others have also been brought to light.

Stores and businesses do not, and should not discriminate as to who they serve. But nor should they enter the political sphere and promote agendas. By serving all people, they already serve all people.

I feel the same way about hate crimes. Crimes are already crimes, to make them more a crime depending on who they are committed against, is wrong. Marketing should be no different.

Oh heck yeah! I'm the furthest thing from a WM basher. I'm originally from Texas and we Texans really don't like unions. I've long admired WM's stance on the non-unionization of their stores.

Not only that but I actually enjoy shopping at WM when I'm physically able to. Of course, I live in a small town and our local grocer doesn't carry near the variety of groceries as WM does. I do however, buy meat either at my local grocery store or at our butcher shop.

I know there are people who gripe about the quality found at WM but I have sweats I still wear which I bought at WallyWorld over 6 years ago. I can buy decent t-shirts for 6.00-7.00 which would cost me at least twice that if bought elsewhere.

Here, see this website? The Homos apply pressure to companies by threatening them not to buy their products. So you see, we have to do the same. We want moral/Christian friendly companies

I imagine the reason WM was even offering the book in the first place is their buyer read the publisher's description of the book and so no harm in it. I don't imagine each and every book WM receives is read before a decision is made to purchase it.

Both Amazon and WM used the exact same wording to describe the book so I'm pretty sure that was the publisher's description. Kind of sneaky but then I'm also relatively certain the publisher knew how people would respond if an accurate representation of the book was made available.
