Olberman - Has Fox News gone too far?
MSNBC ^ | 11/16/06 | Keith Olberman

Posted on 11/16/2006 1:19:41 PM PST by AT7Saluki

One of the most ingenious aspects of the false charge of an intentional liberal bias in the news media is the unstated inference that if there is a liberal bias there by necessity cannot be an intentional conservative bias.

A new piece of hard evidence that there indeed a conservative bias in at least one quarter of the media, a Rosetta Stone of jaundiced journalism.

It’s apparently a printout of a channel's daily editorial memo, marching orders e-mailed to key staffers on how and where to slant the news. And how to adjust the facts to match the political conclusions and not the other way around.

Olberman should just register as a lobbyist to the Dem party since he gives non stop In-Kind contributions to Libs/Dems on his show. He has ZERO balance. At least Fox gives an opposing viewpoint in it's segments.

Don't worry about who he is, be careful of what you allow into your mind;)

Uhhh, Keith, does that mean that in three quarters of the media there is a left wing bias? Do the math, addition shouldn't be too hard for you. You know, like one and one equals your audience.

Interesting... Fox and a few others report facts, reality, and news as it actually happened, which is obviously irritating to the Democrat Party of Lies, Corruption, and Socialism.

The other bazillion media outlets, obviously NEVER letting reality get in the way of a good story, omit facts, slant reporting and polling, give softball interviews, doctor photographs, create "documents" out of thin air, spin story after story after story, and if they STILL can't get the liberal slant they want, simply make the story up as they go... and it's the "conservatively slanted" news we have to be suspicious of?

Silly liberals...

Olbermann named Bob Knight his worst person in the world the other night because he had the audacity to tap one of his players underneath the chin.

Complete idiot.

No, he's just so desperate for a viewer, that he's willing to sink to the level below whale dung.

BOR was doing his book thing on Ingraham a few months ago, and claimed that Olberman is making up the "feud" for marketing purposes.

I believe BOR, because he's so arrogant, he wouldn't give Olberman either the courtesy or pleasure of being acknowledged.

BOR's ego is too big to talk with those not in the same "numbers" ballpark.

Liberals' decription of conservatively biased news: anything factual that tells the truth about liberals.

Liberals' description of liberally biased news: What's that?

I am at a loss how MSNBC's Olbermann and Scarborough think that the key to increasing their dismal ratings is to continually attack Fox, Oreilly, & Hannity.

He tries to provoke them to reply about him on their own programs (which have much higher ratings) then out of curiosity viewers or listeners will go over to check him out. Savage does the same thing. He's been attacking Hannity and Rush hoping they will mention him on their shows. Rush is smart, never mentioned the guy ever.

Just another sign of the really, really bad management at MSNBC, also responsible for the many pink slips coming next month.

Somehow I think Olbermann already has a pink slip in his lingerie drawer.

Fox News is losing viewers. It’s losing advertisers. They’re in free fall,...

Any evidence offered up to support this? I'd like to see actual numbers rather than just some persons wishful thinking.

yes....Fox News has gone way to far....

leftists such as Olbermann who carry the water of mentally ill drug addicts (the dude from Truthout-Jason Leopold) and claim Karl Rove was told he was going to be indicted.....or claims Don Rumsfeld compared him to a nazi sympathizer just weeks after Olbermann put a mask of Bill O'Rielly over his face and gave a "sieg hiel" to the crowd he was giving a speech to....or insinuated the '04 presidential elections was stolen, offering a county in Florida whose residents are mostly registered democrats but overwhelmingly voted for Bush as proof....it's these level headed leftists who are watched by 300K people nightly that have not gone too far...

the 2.1 million watching Fox in the same time slot are the stupid ones because that network went to far....

Amen!

And FReepers need to realize that every time they click on a link to the Ober-maniac website, they give MSNBC one more "brownie point" in terms of advertising ratings. So if you see a link to an Ober-man column, you'll do our side a favor if you resist the urge to click!

Sounds to me like the internal memos I've seen leaked from ABC and the Houston Chronicle both which stand Left. (see my profile page for each of these)

Are we sure this isn't parody?

It's hard for me to imagine that even Ober-man, idiot that he is, could produce such drivel.

[Just when you think he can't go any lower, he goes lower.]

Exactly! I do the same with cnn too. Also, if I ever post an article from those networks I try to post all of the text, while with Newsman, Fox and NY Post I only post excerpts.
