Yup. Old Mel a bit of centrist, isn't he?

Sounds like it would be tough to find the time to do both. Are they sure this isn't the campaign chair? We need someone to replace Dole.

Whenever I think of Mel Martinez, I think "excitement." (not!)

Why would he be named as head of RNC? I can think of a lot better Senators like Jim Inofe or Tom Coburn.
Please tell me this is not true! First Gates for SecDef and now this. I am officially living in the twilight zone.

Reaching for the hispanic votes and aiming for amnesty - the Republican party will become a permanent minority party.

Oh yea, the no drilling anywhere near Florida Martinez. It's obvious now the direction the GOP wants to go and it's not Conservative.

Egads. Now I wish I'd voted Democratic.
Well, it might at least help get Hispanic votes and possibly even pull the rabbit out of the hat in Florida in 08.
Wouldn't count on it, though.

I like Senator Martinez, but I don't think he's the person for this job. We don't need another low energy person.
