Your post #475...I couldn't agree more! Well said!
Woefully true...
I wrote a piece for local consumption having to do with - for one thing - the possible criminal charges in Europe against Rumsfeld and Atty Gen'l Roberto Gonzalez and how that - along with endless Congressional subpoenas and investigations - may precipitate wholesale desertions amongst the military over the next six months or so... BUT, your e-mail comes back undeliverable... can you send me your new e-mail address, please?
***And I'll let them know exactly why I'm rolling it out of their company, in NO uncertain terms.***
GOOD FOR YOU, Starwise. We need more people like you around here.
Do you know where I see the most ads by Progressive Insurance? (They are a big player in the Progressive movement)
On Fox News...and the stations that my granddaughters watch, like Nickelodeon.
HI Johnnie...glad to see you.
I have seen some of your great posts on other threads the last few days...always a welcome sight.
In all fairness, the numbers coming here increase substantially after the summer of 2001 when Vincente Fox came to the USA for a visit and there was a joint statement between the two Presidents that gave hope for Amnesty and started a virtual stampeed for the border in order to be here when it happened.
While we all argue the subject on this side of the border, one thing that is virtually ignored is what this is doing to families who remain on the other side of the border.
You're very welcome AliVeritas.
GOOD on you, Star.
I remain on my news black out --- NO TV or radio news ---
and I am much happier. :)
The way Kean was talking prior to the election, he would have been first in line to help the Dems impeach the President. At times I thought the only reason he ran as a Republican was because they already had a Democratic candidate in NJ. The night he was on H&C was downright pathetic. He was more like a windup doll than a real candidate of substance.
Ask yourself this: if the amendment was a sure thing, why did Fox make the commercial?
Well, you can think what you want. I heard from too many acquaintences and relatives who are moderates to think that Rush's performance helped. I can't convince anyone who thinks otherwise, I am sure. I only speak for myself, and I know what effect it had among people I know.
First of all...it is considered rude to post about another poster, without putting that poster's name in the TO: spot....so that they can be alerted to being talked about.
Second of all...maybe her thoughts aren't hers, but to insinuate she is stupid, still...isn't getting you anywhere with me.
BTW...re: her last point...the dems have already said they will NOT fund the fence..and won't let legislation through during the lame duck session, either.
The President has a veto pen for a reason. To use it. You're absolutely right about McCain-Feingold and his excuse for not vetoing it.
Dang...I got on to you for not putting samantha's name in the TO: spot..and then I did it myself....I apologize to you both.
samantha, see post #734.
I am off now to watch TV see you all next week
One component of this loss, however, was the attacks on Bush by right-wing talk radio and the injection of Limbaugh's personality into the election. It didn't make a difference all over the country, but I think in the Missouri race it did make a difference. Talent lost by a small margin, and Rush's comments did NOT help.
And, his arrogant comments after the election may have made him feeel better, but he has lost me as a listener forever.
Good for you, STARWISE....I am going to check my investments as well..and do the same.
I've found the initial transcripts for the Dean and Bartlett interviews from today's FNS. I'll take a shot at posting links to those. I remember seeing a thread edited earlier this week because we have to extract from Fox now too. I'll post the links and an initial comment to get things started and continue to hack away in that fashion at the high points of the interviews. I'll continue to look to see if they post the round table, as well. I'll send you a link here when I get that up.
