Ok, no problem, I won't be buying from Best Buy.

BEST BUY chose to refuse to accept my e-mail. That makes it unanimous, for I refuse to ever shop a BEST BUY.

Good. Now all the muslim shoppers can go there without being offended. As for me, I'll go where I am welcome.

I will try to avoid Best Buys.

I mean, I'm doing Christmas shopping. If they aren't marketing for Christmas why patronize them.

A really smart marketer would use both.

I wish I'd seen this a couple hours ago before I went shopping at Best Buy. At least it was only $15.

It's time, once again, for...

The 'Christ-Less' Song"

Church hymns being dropped by children's choirs,
Jackboots dump red and green clothes,
corporate grinch sits around and conspires
To force "holiday Trees" on us at Lowe's

Don't you people know ? Some turkeys just banned mistletoe!!!
It makes some people feel uptight
Whiny snots! They're just mean Christophobes
I don't know how they sleep at night.

I guess that Santa's still OK;
Until some lawyer gets his way.
One with too much time on their hands will try
To get judges to ban outdoor lights

I once could offer you this harmless phrase
But thanks to the ACLU
Because it offends many kinds, many ways
No "Merry Christmas" for you!!!

And so the PC cops have banned this phrase,
in retail stores and publik skools,
Because it offends, many kinds, many ways,
No "Merry Christmas" for you!!!

(copy of post I put on another board):

WalMart unlike some big name retailers (Best Buy comes to mind) is actively using the C-word in its
"hhhhhholiday" advertising (I'm typing the word the way Howie Carr says it). Whether or not you're
Christian or religious in any way: December 25 is Christmas. I'm off from work on Christmas Day.
What I'm buying are Christmas presents, not "holiday". These stores have every right to say "Christmas"
or not. I have every right to boycott any store that is so "PC" that they're afraid to offend certain
people by daring to say the C-word.

My CHRISTMAS gift money will be spent where it is appreciated.

In the meantime, those who object can go to Best Buy and buy a copy of A HOLIDAY STORY or WHITE HOLIDAY on
DVD. Sing "I'll be Home For Holiday", "Have a Holly Jolly Holiday..." etc.

Well Best Buy has this at the top of their site (with nothing like it on the Walmart homepage):

Plus Walmart ranks Christmas right up their with Kwanzaa. What's next...Festivus at Walmart??? I'll stick with Best Buy.

"...and we certainly need to be respectful of all of them,"

All except CHRISTmas, you mean.

How is genericizing all of them being respectful to all of them?

So maybe Best Buy won't have to put on extra help during their "Happy Holidays."

I guess I'll be buying my Christmas stuff at Circuit City this year. I was getting sick of the Best Buy clerks "hawking" magazine subscriptions and other junk at the check out any way.
