I will never set foot in Best Buy again. No joke.
Anybody know Circuit City's policy?
Too bad I bought my Over the Hedge video at Best Buy...Would rather give money to someone else.
Whether Worst Buy uses Merry Christmas or not won't affect me -- I stopped shopping there months ago. Worst Buy does not take well to cash paying customers such as myself -- we get to wait in the "cash only" line an extra 20 minutes before being checked out. Worst Buy mistreats its customers in sooooo many ways....
They are a couple years slow in dissing Christmas. The ones that have dissed it in the past, now are back to Christmas!
>>we certainly need to be respectful of all of them
So SAY all of them! Say Merry Christmas, Happy Thanksgiving,
Happy Chanukah, Happy Kwanzaa, etc.! Be inclusive not exclusive--this means please ALL your shoppers by saying the name of Christmas, AND the others. And even those who aren't religious have to admit:
The holiday on Dec 25 is CHRISTMAS
We are giving CHRISTMAS gifts
I have the day off from work because of CHRISTMAS
I won't be shopping for my CHRISTMAS gifts at Best Buy
Kohls has run a happy holidays commercial in the Milwaukee area market yet they run a banner on their web site showing how many days to December 25th.

Circuit City
I guess that means I can't buy any "Christmas" presents there.
I guess I will just have to go somewhere else for "Christmas" presents. oh well.
My late wife was Catholic. For 24 years I celebrated Christmas and Chanukah with her and all her relatives. Guess what? It never damaged my Judaism nor my sense of self-worth. As a group, professional psychologists should be taken out, "pantsed," hit with raw eggs, and told to get a life.
Their lousy customer service and the cacophony of noise (dueling rap, hip-hop and rock music) that assaults you when you walk in there was enough to send me packing. Circuit City is a much more pleasant experience.
They won't see my money!
No brainer. They are overpriced anyway. Merry Christmas, Best Buy!! Enjoy the coal.

Best Buy Bans Use of Merry Christmas In Advertising
Dear Karen,
Best Buy has announced they will be using "Happy Holidays" this coming Christmas shopping season, and they will not be using "Merry Christmas."
Dawn Bryant, a spokeswoman at Best Buy Co. Inc., says their advertising will not be using the term "Merry Christmas." "We are going to continue to use the term holiday because there are several holidays throughout that time period, and we certainly need to be respectful of all of them," Bryant said. Click here for reference article.
While many other retailers have decided to return to the traditional "Merry Christmas", Best Buy will not be among them. Best Buy considers the use of "Merry Christmas" to be disrespectful.
But while Best Buy, the largest consumer electronics company in the nation, will not be mentioning Christmas, they sure do want the shopping dollars from those who remember the Reason for the season.

In doing so, they just banned me as one of their customers.....
I haven't bought anything from Best Buy in two years. Nor, will I ever again.
There's a shortage of snowblowers.
Very well, then. I will be respectful of their wishes and not buy anything from them.
I was literally going to go to Best Buy tonight to buy an HDTV.
Now I have decided to buy on the Internet only.
It is my Christmas Present to the amoral bigots at Best Buy.
By the way their Geek Squad service center is an unbelievable rip off!
... by acknowledging none of them?
