Michael Savage gets a lesson in politics 101
Posted on 11/10/2006 3:00:44 PM PST by RussP
I actually liked Michael Savage at one time, but now I am embarrassed for him every time I hear him (which is not often). The guy has become a clueless loon.
To show off his "independence," he refused to endorse Republicans. Fantastic, Michael! Then the day after the election it finally occurred to him that a Democratic Congress is now empowered to work with Bush on his amnesty program for illegal immigrants!
What kind of moron could not figure that out *before* the election?
Thanks a lot, Michael, for sitting on your hands and doing nothing when it counted most to help stop illegal immigration. You're a true patriot, but not a very bright one!
Michael calls Rush Limbaugh a shill for the Republicans, but Rush figured out *before* the election that (1) Bush is not on the ballot, and (2) if the Republicans don't win Congress, the Democrats will. In other words, Rush passed politics 101 a long time ago, but Michael never did.
I happened to be listening yesterday when a caller tried to point this out to him. How did Michael reply? He couldn't argue rationally, so he resorted to his usual 3rd-grade-level name calling and telling the guy to change his underwear. I kid you not.
Ironically, Michael wrote a book calling liberalism a mental illness, but Michael clearly has a mental illness of his own. He has become some kind of deranged, angry clown.

There is no limb to go out on. You state lies. Name one R that was not criticized by another R?

yes, its not Bush's fault the senate was lost, it was savage's fault for mocking him. heck, if savage had just cheerleaded a little more this fall, we would have retained the senate and probably the house too. laughable.

It's laughable when Savage mocks Limbaugh (Hush Bimbo as he calls him)If it weren't for Limbaugh, Savage would be in the South Pacific somewhere writing articles about pollen.YOu left out the end of your last sentence. ...about pollen that no sould on earth would ever read.
There, I fixed it for you.

Rush, who I admire greatly, has always said the reason for his show is to sell what his advertisers are selling. It's business. It's entertainment. Savage is a character... his 'schtick' is to entertain. These guys are not policy makers... they're entertainers. Savage goes off the deep end often, but he's also entertaining to many. You may not like his style of entertainment...but many others do. He does make some good points at times despite himself. If you don't like his "schtick" don't listen. Quite simple.

You must have missed the article on Drudge this morning. I'm not the only one saying that.
Then they are wrong too. Weiner did absolutely NOTHING this election cycle except donate money to liberal moonbats and denigrate the GOP to the point that any person even moderately unsure of who to vote for was swayed to vote for the Dems.
BTW Weiner is a liberal in conservative clothing and has gotten EXACTLY what he wants.

The time to criticize the GOP is *months* before the election, not a few days or even a few weeks before. As the election approaches, that's the time to criticize the friggin' DEMOCRATS! That is unless, of course, you think the Republicans are just as bad as the Democrats. But if you think that, I don't think you have a clue how bad the Democrats really are.
Someone should read Reagan's 11th commandment to Savage.

Savage has always been my posterchild for why not just anybody can be a radio talk show host. It was clear from the beginning that he really doesn't know much. He made up for it in spit on the mike.

Savage is all entertainment value.
If he believes half of what he rants about it would be merciful if he were "put to sleep".

Rumsfeld was one of the main targets of the left during this election. You take him away, it shows a new direction and the right thing to do. If you think keeping him around had no effect on the elections, I disagree.

"Mike is also the only one in talk radio who criticized the GOP BEFORE the election." Weiner was the only one before the election < fill in the bull crap here >
You Weiner-bots would walk right off the cliff if he told you too.
