Voters Remain Conservative on Domestic Matters

It's just three days since the Democrats recaptured Congress and they are unable to keep their crazy aunts up in the attic. George McGovern is demanding an immediate abandonment of Iraq. Charlie Rangel has gone out of his way to slander southerners (they voted for Republicans). Eighty-seven percent of American Jews voted for the party that wants to replace Israel with "Palestine" (don't get me started on this one). Nancy Pelosi, so far off the left side of the page that she cannot be seen by anyone without exophoria, is going to be Speaker of the House, and what an eyefull that will be. We are gonna be treated to two years of front page insanity. Popcorn time.

The Dems have utterly misread the election. The voters barely tossed the Repubs to punish Bush for Iraq (the Dems won the Senate by 1,738 votes a la Montana) but overwhelmingly voted for conservative ballot measures, including a nearly universal approval of a ban on gay marriage, a ban on emminent domain for profit, and other "conservative" measures. Even in The Peoples Democratic Republic of Massachusetts, all three liberal ballot questions went down to defeat: QUESTION 1: allow wine sales in convenience stores: NO; QUESTION 2: allow candidates to run under multiple political parties and then add-up the total votes: NO; QUESTION 3: allow child daycare centers to unionize/use collective bargaining: NO.

The US remains firmly right of center domestically. If the Republicans cannot take advantage of that in 2008 they deserve 40 years in the wilderness.

One guy who definitely did not deserve to be in the wilderness is George Allen. How the hell did republicans allow the Soros/KKKlinton spin machine to spin him as some sort of a fruitcake and replace him with an outright pervert like Slick KKKlinton?

Voters might still be conservative, but the leadership no longer is. It's going to be a long two years.

This is the biggest crock I have ever read!! All this talk about blue collar Democrats is just that...talk. It is how they got elected...to run conservative, and just exactly like Hillary will in her assent to the White House. Just watch good Americans...the clowns in CONGRESS ran on NOTHING, and won!
