If they do impeach, they will be stuck with President Cheney!

If the HOUSE impeached George Bush he would still be PRESIDENT, just as when Clinton was IMPEACHED, he remained President. The Senate will NOT remove him from office because they need 67 votes to do so!!

In other news, pigs fly, the Bills just won the super bowl and the Cubs won the world series..
This is just a ruse... they'll start hearings right after the SOTU speech under the guise of "fact finding" in order to discredit him. He'll have his hand on a bible more than a priest does for the next two years..

The next two years will be pork barrel hay-days. Not a single bill will be passed that doesn't have tons of juicey pork attached.

That would be different from the last six years how, exactly?

Mr. Clinton... Did you or did you not sign a law into force stating that the Official Policy of the United States was REGIME CHANGE in IRAQ?

Mr. Clinton... did you or did you not state that Saddam Hussein had Weapons of Mass Destruction and that he was an "IMMINENT THREAT"?

Mr. Clinton... did you or did you not declare "WAR on Terrorists"?

Mr. Clinton... did you or did you not approve the UN "No Fly Zone Policy" by authorizing the UNITED STATES MILITARY to carry out continuous armed patrolling of Iraqi Airspace and approving hostile action against any Iraqi presence or radar activity?

Mr. Clinton... did you or did you not state that Saddam Hussein was in violation of the 1991 Cease Fire Agreement and that a State of War existed between the UN Forces and Iraq... and was this not the very reason that enforcement of the "No Fly Zone" was legal under the UN Resolutions and the Surrender agreements?

Mr. Clinton... did you or did you not advise your wife to authorize the use of United States Military Forces to liberate Iraq?

Mr. Clinton... did you or did you not state that the United States and the World were made safer by the capture of Saddam Hussein?

...and on and on and on and on and on!!!

Conyers says no impeachment planned.

Translation: Conyers said that no impeachment proceedings against President Bush will be planned AS LONG AS he doesn't use his veto power and stays on the road of bi-partisanship ( ie. gives us what we want.).

I almost wish they would. That way Charlie Rangel could negotiate all 24 of his appropriations bills with President Dick. They could talk it over down range, hunting the grouse.

Politically speaking, impeachment would be great for the GOP. It would help turn public opinion against the Dems.

Oddly enough, I suspect that this ends any real chance of Bush being impeached and portends a far more sinister development. It has nothing to do with the "truthfulness" of DemonRat leadership. Instead, it shows they are rigidly disciplined and striving to take over to take over the House, Senate, and Presidency in 2008 under the leadership of Hillary, the Stalinist. Conyers, the most powerful and vocal advocate of impeaching Bush, would not have dropped his crusade without powerful inducements, inducements that could have only come from the Clintons. With election of the putatively "conservative" DemonRat class of 2006 and Bill's recent remark about how conservative the voters are, this clearly becomes part of a simple, diabolical plan: convince enough voters that DemonRats are really moderate or conservative, win the 2008 elections across the board with Hillary becoming President, and impose Marxist, Stalinist rule on the United States. Be afraid, very afraid.

Actually the press would love it. ANd so would the Dems.

It is not the same as impeaching a democrat.

They would get more votes when they do it

If it wasn't for the Blue Dog Dems they wouldn't have won.

IMO if the Rats don't cowtow to the Blue Dogs now, they'll both split the party and lose their power.

"That would be different from the last six years how, exactly?"

There will be less restraint of one party limiting the amount of pork allowed the other. No clear majority means tacking it all on is acceptable.

"No, why would they need to impeach him when he's so willing to bend over and take it from them? Huuuummmm?"

Wait until Bush allies with the democrats and passes his Amnesty for Illegal Immigrants bill.

There will be more than a few Republicans calling for his impeachment....

You got it.
Hillary quietly tiptoed through this election cycle, hardly making a ripple, like she was insulated from all the media noise going on about everything.

She is now well positioned, all she has to do now is focus on '08, and she will be given all the quiet time in the world under the media's cone of silence that they can give her.

Nothing but +++'s concerning her from here on in, just watch.
