Some of the most authentic German dishes come from Louisiana as well. Many of the original settlers there were German, not just French.
Hey Rangel.....as one who has lived in almost every State in the South during my lifetime, including 4 years in Mississippi......you can kiss my lily-white ass.
You really hate Mississippi don't you? Have you ever actually been there? Seen the new Nissan plants being built? Etc?
But where are you goin' to order etoufee, Ah Gauraunteeeee.
We didn't sit at home and don't know where you got the idea. In fact, we were part of the "meet at dawn" crew.
To The Top!!
With a hearty helpin of GO GOLD!
Our oldest son frittered away $4500 a year in scholarships in 3 semesters at USM. He's in California living paycheck to paycheck now instead of enjoying his Sr year of college.
Our cheering loyalties remain with the Golden Eagles. The best sports and the finest music program in the state.
I got the idea of republicans staying home from many here on FR who stated they did not vote.
Regards
I'll echo what SuziQ said and add a couple more. There is a very fine Japanese restaurant here in Columbus. Another in Tupelo. And heavens, you can even get fresh sushi at the oriental buffet places in either city. The sushi chef at the one in Tupelo is truly an artist.
What the matter, don't you want to rag on Randel?
I don't hate MS. I once drove all night from New Orleans to visit Faulkner's home and grave in Oxford and have returned many times since to various parts of the state.
Here's one: apparently one of the best Chinese restaurants in the world is in Vegas, but closed to everyone except extremely high rollers.
As much as I agree with you about the possibility of Haley being President, it simply will not happen.
He has said repeatedly that he will not seek the presidency and he is a man of his word. Mrs. Barbour recently had spinal surgery and is still recovering. We will be re-electing him as our governor next year so he can continue his work bringing us back from Katrina.
Besides, the dims savage him enough as it is. You can hardly read his name in print that it isn't followed by some version of "former lobbyist for big tobacco". I would hazard a guess that a lexus-nexus search would probably find more mentions of his lobbying than his being the Governor of MS.
I love my Mississippi neighbors! I sent Rangel a little "love note" over this. No free passes!
yea, I know Rudy will get the nomination we just need someone to balance him out on the ticket thats all that I'm looking for.
Yeah...the South has heard that one before.
I was more interested in basketball, and went to as many games as I could. It was during the time before the Metro conference, and the team wasn't that good, but I just enjoyed watching basketball more than football. All my older brothers and my older sister played basketball in high school, and we always went to their games, in town, or out, so I knew a lot about the game. It was kind of amusing being in that 10,000 seat Reed Green Coliseum with only about 2000 other people during those games.
I know that a good part of Shelby (TN) County's tax base moved to Mississippi to avoid King Willie's reach. You don't think that Rat would try to annex MS, do you?
