Good. We can now move on officially and worry about picking up a seat or two in 2008 and hold on to all of ours.

The GOP acts as though they can't wait to start wearing the "Second Place" loser's crown. Forcing Burns and Allen (Say Goodnight Gracie!) to concede before all the votes are counted is moronic.

No surprise. Sad, but there it is. At least no Sore/Loserman behaviour from the GOPs.

Time to get ready for 2008 and take it all back. If played correctly by the Republicans and with a failed Pelosi / Reid(?) Congress two years of Dim rule may be enough for the voters.

Firefighters everywhere rejoice. He was GOP, but he was a twerp. Good riddance (even though it still sucks that his loss gave the Rats the Senate).

If they had won one of them they would just have "shared" power anyway. Let the Dems take all the blame now for what doesn't get done.

this completes the spankin'

The story of this election is the case of the bi-polar pill. Extreme liberals on one end, conservative republicans on the other, surrounded by the squishy middle. The Drive by media overcame the ability for the squishy middle to coagulate .

The cool part is every man and woman is about to REALLY learn what a socialist and a marxist means.

The Senate was designed to be the Congress' sea anchor. It's the Dems' turn to learn this lesson.

Time to build up the threat of armed American militias again. Those were the good ole days.

Not a good day, though not unexpected. Burns has announced he will concede and Allen is still waiting for the vote canvas totals to be announced sometime this afternoon in Virginia, unless there is a serious narrowing, he will concede.

Carol McKinley is in Montana where Rep. incumbent Sen. Conrad Burns concedes to Dem. challenger Jon Tester.

The pendulum has swung. It always has and always will. I am not going to loose sleep over it. We can take it back in 2 years and maybe with a much more conservative and ethical bunch of republicans that the bunch that just lost power. I just wish Bush would of used the bully pulpit in the last six years when he had the chance. I do hope now that the democrats are in charge Bush can finally use his veto pen.

You don't suppose the American people are going to notice that when the Dems lose, they tie up the system for months demanding recounts, but when the Repubs lose, they concede and don't make excuses even though there's a number of areas where massive irregularites were evident.

Ho hum.....
