One of Bush's few successess was this nomination. He should just leave it vacant.
We should also pull our funds from that abominable organization.

I wonder how the 87% democrat voting Jewish will react. They loved him.

Ditto!
This disgusting development brought to you by the Democrat Party. I worked very hard on Voinivich about John Bolton.
The Democrats will demand a candidate that will approve of their buddy, Hugo Chavez, getting a seat at the UN security counsel.
To: Dark Skies
Among those believed to be on a White House short list to replace Bolton is former Senate majority leader and prominent Maine Democrat George Mitchell.Wow. Say it ain't so....
If Bush starts caving left and right to the scumbags, then it's time to forget about him and hope he just rides out his term without causing too much more damage. Meanwhile, pray for gridlock in the Congress.

Everyone that stayed home really taught them a lesson? That's right. It is apparent that plenty of conservatives stay home on Tuesday.
Better to have a RINO in office than a Rat.

Bolton has been one of the administration's few high-ranking conservatives. That says it all. The cowardice of centrist politics brings its own come-uppance.

Dems will vote to spite Bush at every turn regardless of how it will hurt the country . A lot of damage will be done. They will want a socialist in the UN post and they will get it .

I agree, Bush should just announce that we aren't going to participate anymore. Either that ... or perhaps he could nominate Howard Dean now that the lunatics are in charge of the assylum.

Maybe John Bolton would like to run for President, or as VP ...It would be great if he could enter the primaries. The GOP has no one else...
Let the American people see the man whose nomination the Dims refused to let come to a vote.

We were one judge away from having a conservative SCOTUS and that is now gone in the toilet. We have a RAT Senate and we will get a couple Ruth Buzzy Ginsburg clones.
Gridlock (we wont get that anyway) wont mean sh*t when you have liberals in black robes writing laws from the bench!
OH well, throwing a fit and stamping their lil feet was more important to some.
Perhaps in another 20-30 years we will get another chance like the one we had?

He can, but he would have to serve without pay (per the article). My guess is that if Mr. Bolton was asked, he might do that...

Bolton Smolton. What matters is the lesson that the Republicans are learning.

What about Rick Santorum?

Are they nuts? Bush should just recess-appoint Rick Santorum.
