Morris is right IF Bush shoves amnesty for illegals down our throats. There won't be another Republican majority in my lifetime...if ever.

That's good news. If Dick Morris says it, it's not going to happen.

This is laughable.

Independents mainly sat this one out. And some libertarians finally stopped voting R.

Big changes, hard work-- it's fixable.

Since it's Morris, I guess 2008 is looking up for us after all.

Morris is getting downright hysterical.

The dems will over reach .. they always do

The question is .. can we survive it during a time of war with a bunch of crazies that want to slit our throats and nuke our cities and towns

The key is the fact that the newly elected House Dems are for the most part way more moderate than the leadership. But since they didn't run on a unified agenda, they don't have the leverage the newly elected Republicans had in 1994, so it will be harder to trump the radical ideology of the leadership, which has seniority due to being the survivors of 1994.

Their window of opportunity to deny Pelosi the speakership is very short, and if they don't do it we are going to see a two year freak show that will backfire on them.

I think it more likely that the Dems will take-off their masks and give the country a horror show for the next two years, something the elctorate doesn't want. We'll see.

You're right. People get weary of this nasty negative stuff real fast.

That's why Mr. Malaise, Jimmy Carter, was out in just four years.

Anger and bitterness only goes so far as a motivating force. Then people desperately look for someone optmistic and positive, like Reagan, to break the pall.

Uh, I heard Moris two weeks ago
on FoxNews, and he was NOT predicting
a GOP win...quite the contrary. He
expressed his belief the House would
go Democrat by at least 25 seats.
He thought the Senate MIGHT be saved.

And I still don't believe it was the
Iraq war that kept Republicans home;
IMO it was the Bush stand on Immigration
and the House/Senate refusing to
work up the Sensenbrenner House Bill.

But what do I know...I was one of
the lame suckers who DID go to the
polls to support my party. And I'm
not even a Welfare recipient!

We may or may not have a realignment. The Democrats could be around another 40 years? We'll see.

"which, with the help of a drooling leftist media, will blanket the country, destroying the Republican Party"

You mean a CONTINUATION of the programming that CNN, NBC, MSNBC were doing just the week prior to the last election?

The liberals have proven that they have a victorious edge in the information warfare game IF they find a few themes and continually pound them home day and night from all their sources: 24 hour cable Newsrooms, Evening Newsrooms, Pundits, Late-night shows, sitcoms, movies, documentaries, NPR, etc.

They totally overwhelmed the opposition: a few radio talk hosts, a few newspapers, and a number of blogs. (Fox News -- with a few exceptions -- was clearly part of the liberal spin machine this past 2 years.)

The conservatives were unable to inject their worldview/nationview into the discussion. They played defense the entire time.

So, the libs don't need the trials and all to keep control. They simply need to pick their themes and enforce discipline on their outlets.

No, he did not predict that the GOP would hold congress. He, like every poll said that they would lose.

He is right, unfortunately.

President Bush is too nice and believes that others if treated with dignity will act just like him. Maybe now he will see the true colors of the DemoRATS who hate his guts and have no scruples. I hope Tony Snow will enlighten him. It seems that all Presidents become so insulated after a few years in office and don't know what is really going on.

The Democrats won't let go lightly. They are already getting their beady little minds on ways to bamboozle their way into the White House. Nancy will probably be measuring the drapes for Hillary today. Losing this election was not a good thing.

Morris changes his opinion with every change in the wind.

Now, (today) he indicated that Hillary would win in 08. Just a few weeks ago, he was saying she was unelectable.

Dick Morris proved long ago that his only talent is getting Democrats elected. And sucking toes.

I hope Morris is wrong. However, the last time the Democrats won the House, they controlled it continuously for 40 years.

Morris has one agenda: keep Hillary out of office. He's resorting to scare tactics and manipulation to herd people down a particular path that will make sure she does not become president. His apparent split personality comes from his need to constantly adjust the controls as conditions change.
