Republicans lost because they took the pious wimp approach to politics. The GOP played politics by Marquess of Queensbury rules of civility, while the Democrats used guerrilla tactics.
George Bush is a good man, but he and the GOP were willing to get beat up every news cycle without even a whimper, and that is scandalous.

I can't believe the defeatist attitude from conservatives/Republicans on FreeRepublic...yes, we got our noses bloodied; but we can turn this around and we've got 2 years to do it...frankly, I'm glad to have the spotlight on the democrats because they are now going to have to deliver on their message of "change"...which of course, they can't. Pray for our soldiers that our enemies will not be emboldened into causing greater carnage. Our country needs to make a choice on the War on Terror-- either we fight it to win, or we do something besides fight. Fighting to lose as the Democrats seem to suggest as the strategy is not an option.
