Subtle gong alert, scrolled on the bottom of the screen.
I agree with what you say. God is watching.
I agree. I know that no matter what happens, God still runs the show and he will take care of His followers.
This is the worst post election presser ever.
Not feeling too good about what I'm hearing (tone and message)
WTF? Did I wake up on bizzaro world today?
Yup. Now, I was souring on how Iraq was handled, so I would have welcomed cleanly switching Rumsfeld for something else a few months ago. But this is asinine.
sure is painful to watch.....can't wait for Rush's conclusions
This is sad... and scary.
Listen...we are a democracy. He needs to respond to what the American people have said to some degree. He is not backing down on anything. Nobody is happy with the progress in Iraq. Not that there isn't progress...but, we do need fresh eyes...that can't hurt.
We will get through this. We are strong. I know for myself, I have learned a hard lesson and that is to ONLY deal in reality. No more wishful thinking creating false hope.
It helps me ;^D
Okay, answering my own post here. My wits is starting to flood back in.
First wit-this President is very, very angry.
The little bit of verbal fluidity he has goes out the window when he's mad.
Trying to be fair here.
Gotta get more wits. I'm not done yet.
I'm going to agree with you on this. President Bush sounds unsure of himself, tentative...
That's the problem with trying to lobe up a win. Sometimes you catch the other side of guard and get the victory. But if you play to win and play "smash mouth" campaigning, you know you won win the other guy doesn't get up of the field.
The Demos and the media know this and ALWAYS play like it matters. Don't know when we will ever learn how to play to win.
Maybe the "cut and run" conservatives will learn over the next 2 years, what the penalties for not showing up really are. But more likely the smart Republicans will go to work getting ready for 08, while the "no shows" will whine and complain that the coach let them down and should be fired.
EJECT! EJECT! EJECT!
Salute to Rumsfield.
Pres. Bush: I didn't want to inject a major policy decision like this in the middle of an election. I gave you that answer to move you onto your next question. I also had not finished talking with Gates.
Not acceptable. Duck the question or change the subject rather than flat-out lie.
No future "votes of confidence" in Administration officials by this President will have any credibility.
they do smell blood, you are right.
its going to get alot worse. alot worse. and this speech is not helping. Bush is pinning the tail on his own a*s here - instead of stepping up and saying the truth - that the american people need to realize that they have elected a majority party - WHO HAVE NO POLICY on how to win in iraq, or in the war on terror.
just say it damn it.
