Public Relations incompetence destroyed the GOP.
Republicans lost because they took the pious wimp approach to politics. The GOP played politics by Marquess of Queensbury rules of civility, while the Democrats used guerrilla tactics.
George Bush is a good man, but he and the GOP were willing to get beat up every news cycle without even a whimper, and that is scandalous.
Ronald Reagan was willing to ridicule Democrats and Communists at every opportunity. Bush, like his dear Dad, just wanted to give them a hug.
We need FREEPER-approved GOP Candidates without exception.

Bill Kristol is now saying Rumsfeld will submit his resignation and Bush will accept it.

President Bush: "I'm sorry I abandoned all my conservative principles and cost my party, and my country, a very important election. I am officially a lame-duck."

I suppose he's going to announce his new ultra moderate strategy for victory?
We've been saying it for six years!!! "Conservatism ALWAYS wins!" Get a clue.

I think you're right. This is certainly a factor in what cost the GOP the election. They allowed the MSM to frame everything and didn't even make a fist to counter.
To: Stallone
Your post 2 is excellent.

Kristol is probably right; Bush is a compromiser on most issues.

He will announce that starting in 2007, Democrats' are responsible for Global Warming and every other conspiracy. Let the games begin.

AMEN BUMP! Back to the future with another CONSERVATIVE contract with America.
To: GnL
In truth it's evident he really has very few Conservative principles.

Ronald Reagan was willing to ridicule Democrats and Communists at every opportunity. Bush, like his dear Dad, just wanted to give them a hug. Sad. But, so true.
To: Stallone
Yes, I think you are correct.
