Let them celebrate. The terrorists should no now that President Bush will not give a damn about any public opinion or world opinion in the next two years, they will regret that they were born and so will many other terrorists regimes, mainly Iran.

I will Defend the FReedom of this Country with every breath I have left.

Sorry Jim, but this really is the end of FreeRepublic and the conservative movement.
The right wing conservatives have zero tolerance for the moderates in the republican party.
We hang together or we hang alone and we have chosen to hang alone. And we proved it yesterday at the polls and we are proving it again by our comments.
Personally, I have lost all tolerance for the right wingers and they have lost tolerance for me, and the left right wingers.
It's over.

You left out the part that wants to begin withdrawal. There is a clear majority of voters who want us to withdraw.

Remember, if the MSM was fair, we'd never lose an election.I understand where you're coming from, but if the MSM were fair, we would lose elections, occasionally at least, to an opposition party with integrity. That's because if the MSM were fair, it would hold all political parties to account. The reason the democrats are so much more corrupt than the Republicans is because the media has given them a pass on almost everything. They can get away with almost anything, so they do.

Does every change in the political wind mean that we must change our foreign policy? No. It doesn't. We are on the backward slope of the war and it's only a matter of time until we start bringing troops home. 2007 was already expected to see a significant reduction of troops in Iraq. I'm sure that will happen. The Democrats are not the driving force behind that, and shouldn't been seen as such. If terrorists think they can influence our political dynamics forcing troops from Iraq, that would be a very damaging thing. Buck up. We'll be out of there in due time.

Well said, Jim.
Lets learn from our mistakes and come back even stronger.
No whining.
No complaining.

I understand the challenge-- what do we do?

That part amazed me too. It's one thing to not be a huge fan, but to not support him against an impeachment attempt? That's insanity.
And with that, I REALLY am off to bed.

Oh stop it. He most assuredly did. The pouting baby wrote this:
If he deserts us on immigration, we won't be there for him when the Rats move to impeach him.
Truly, D1, you're sounding like the Kerry supporters who defended his remarks.

We must challenge the MSM. We must take them to taskThis is more important than ever. They have free reign right now.
To: DoughtyOne
When you have a total vote of no-confidence in our foreign policy, like today, that must be heeded. This isn't about random winds. This was a repudiation of Rumsfeld and Bush and the way the war was conducted and the reasons for going to war.

I don't think the President heard the base. If we're going to get amnesty and open borders, the Democrats will have a guaranteed hammerlock on America for a generation. If he allows that to happen, this country's fate won't be too different from that of a dying Europe.

Onyx, I know that you can see the difference between saying that you will start procedings or support them, and saying that you will simply sit out the procedings and not jump to the defense of someone who seemingly (to CSGOP) hasn't earned it.
You accused him of the former while the latter is what he posted.
It may not seem like much of a difference to you, but it is.

Sorry their will be no reconciliation with Freepers who spent all their time this year making sure tonight happened to us as it did. You wanted the Democrats to win, you got it. Go celebrate with them.
Wearing a Uniform does not make you a unaccountable elite for the rest of your life. What you do AFTER you take off the Uniform means as much. Benedict Arnold wore a uniform and was a hero. He was also a traitor..
Those who worship every politician simply for having once worn the Uniform better wake up to the fact it does NOT make the wearer a good or even decent person. They are not Sacred Cows forever simply for having worn it. I know a lot of guys who wore the Uniform. Few of them are qualified to be a US Congresscritter. Wearing a Uniform does not either a hero nor a Patriot make. John Kerry and Jack Murtha wore the uniform and have totally disgraced it since.

The one hope I have is that the Dims will undercut Israel and drive Lieberman to caucus with the Republicans and Cheney becomes the tie vote! :)
