Cheer up, FReepers. This might just be entertaining. It'll be like turning the preparation of supper over to your kids. You know they're going to screw it up, and you figure you'll have to clean up the mess yourself sooner or later. I mean......Charles Rangel in charge of Ways & Means???? Oh yeah....he'll screw it up.

Seriously. I think I will take down the MFVOV web. America doesn't want to win a war.I think Lieberman's third party win shows that this was less a referendum on the war and more a referendum on a Republican majority, including our president, that was too often content to ignore problems like illegal immigration and out of control spending, while not working hard enough to get our message out about Iraq.

Polls I have seen, they still need three seats..what are the real answers.

Many of us were predicting Hayworth was vulnerable for the past week or so, but head-in-the-sanders here at FR would have none of it.
They thought Rove would save the day or something.

One good thing to come out of a Dem victory. Many forgot how they liked to do "cute" things like with the budget. One time the Dem Congress declared the budget DOA, and even sent an ambulance to bring it to Congress. This was without even looking at it.
They're really going to regret it when the Arab street starts celebrating the Dems wins.

Bitter sweet for me .. the republicans haven't done anything I'm proud of ... hopefully this is a kick in the nuts for the republicans to stop chasing the idea of outlawing abortion and same sex marriage and get back to the ideas that put them in power in '94 ... yes lower taxes and reduce the size of government ... they got the lower taxes part right, but they have increased the size of government as any liberal would have done.
btw is all these races decided by exit poll data or is there some real counting going on?

Won't take this bunch of nutjobs to make everybody mad at them. The far left will be mad because there won't be any promised impeachment and the fairly moderate democrats already think Pelosi and pals are a little loopy. Now they find out how loopy.

I'm in Hayworth's district, he lost because he is a buffoon.
I voted for him only because I can't stand his opponent, but JD is a joke. He promised he would only serve 3 terms, but broke that promise 3 terms ago...
