Just thinking that the Democrats are probably going to do that themselves ~ maybe not right away, but watch Barney Frank retire.
18 precints left to go in Richmond City 10 in Norfolk City, 40 in PW (which is leaning a bit more to Allen in the newest numbers) 30 in Loudoun and still 2 counties with 0% in that should break well for Allen, but with only about 15k votes between them.
Every update looks better
yessssssssssss, doing a happy dance here for Virgina.
then i suggest Repubs stop voting absentee.
I didn't know he conceded...
I wouldn't do that with only 40% reporting.
he Santorum conceded over a half an hour ago - CSpan carried it. very, very classy - only thanks to the people in his state, no recriminations. such a nice contrast to the likes of the Left. makes me proud to be a Republican.
And who are you, exactly?
All depends on what precincts are left to report. You may be a bit premature. I sure hope not.
15k ?? **ack** make that about 1.5k between them. Little guys left, but Allen still in there with 11k lead
VA SEN [93.66% IN]
R- ALLEN 1,070,640 49.79%
D- WEBB 1,053,602 49.00%
Closer and closer...
94% in and Allen leads by 14,000

I feel this race was SO important and therefore until know I've had a pretty good cry watching the results. But know maybe I can wipe my tears off and say a few prayers for the rest of the GOP who have a chance yet. I am EXTREMELY heartbroken over Santorum loss.
Those numbers in Loudoun County have been stuck for over an hour. Something smells.
Santorum is a stand-up compassionate conservative. Should have gotten re-elected.
I have been in denial about him losing throughout the evening. Prayers for him and his family.
Who knows?
He would be a great vice-Presidential running mate! You heard it here first! LOL!
Razor, razor, razor thin. It could go either way. More Webb votes to come; it will be closer than this.
Those TV people are confounded by the exit polls and their own "inside the beltway" thinking.
I don't have that burden
Sometimes I am wrong - but I am at least as good as anybody else.
Fox analyzing this now. Several minority districts out that will go heavy Webb, but some rurals and suburbs out that should go Allen.
I assume one of them has to reach 50% or they have a runoff?
I am sorry about Santorum. He is a class act and a good Senator.
