I'm still so baffled how KS became so liberal...of all states! I was astonished when I moved back home from Los Angeles to see all the libs and RINOs. So sad.

I think for the most part we are conservative and traditionalists. The Republicans seemed to have taken votes for granted. As far as the democrats go, they have to at least feign conservatism or at least be extremely moderate to win. On the positive side...

A Nancy Pelosi, Diane Feinstein, Teddy Kennedy...would never be elected here. At least for now...well, maybe in Lawrence.
