That's how you and I see it. I'll admit, it's hard for me to see it any other way, but people out there are absolutely demoralized. Perhaps they weren't well grounded to begin with, but I don't think we really fought for them until the last few months. We should have been fighting for them from day one.
Tell me, who has been sounding the conservative clarion? Fiscal responsibility, defederalizing education, building UP the military (not downsizing), avoiding 'great society' level programs...
Some folks think this has been taking place, but I don't.

Meanwhile the Clintonistas were busy recruiting centrist Dems to run against GOP moderates. And that formula has been working. While Ned Lament went down in flames against Lieberman, taking the hopes of the far left with him.
So the DLC is back like a big dog. And the GOP had better wake up and realize the future is not in out-spending Dems, but in core GOP values of fiscal conservatism and a larger military.
