And did that push the GOP over the top?
Nobody said that it wasn't AN issue; it was A issue, but not to many people.
To: Marine Inspector
And you do realize, don't you, that those laws will be struck down by the DEMOCRATS in charge now, right?
To: Howlin
Sorry, the Dems took the House, not the courts.
To: Marine Inspector
Soon, perhaps the Senate, too. That means judicial confirmation, and Stevens is rumored to be gravely ill, and Bader-Ginsburg is waiting in the wings to retire. We could see two openings in the court with the Senate controlling the confirmation process.
That sounds like control of the courts to me.

Sorry, the Dems took the House, not the courts. You're being quite disengenuous now.
To: Wilhelm Tell
The Dems took most statehouses.
Here in Oregon we went from a GOP-controlled chamber four years ago, then two years ago the Dems took the Senate and last night the Dems took the House.
Right now we have very liberal guns laws, we have a liberal CCW and allow all Class III weapons and no gun registration.
Now, with the Dems taking both houses in Oregon, we'll probably see a ban on semi-auto weapons and high-cap mags, and probably limitations on CCW and CIII and maybe shutting down gun shows.

Why don't you just admit that you were wrong?
You said that we had not been atacked prior to 9/11/2001, and I keep proving you wrong over and over again.

"Now you tell me just how effective this government has REALLY been in "fighting terrorism."Before this government, they were killing us, now, we're killing them right back.
I call that a way better record than any other government.

Haven't you heard? Islam is a peaceful religion. To Muslims, the word "Peace" translates into "Submission" in our way of thinking.

Well, at least you're honest about your "truth"....

Reagan's naturalization of millions of ILLEGALS only encourage millions more to do the same. And to make matters worse these ilegals rewarded Reagan by voting heavily Democratic... How many more times does this has to be repeated for you to learn this?Ok. Then you admit you're ok with isolating yourself from affecting the FedGov's method. Thanks to white glove "inactivists" like you, now the one-worlders have a "mandate" to pass Bush's unrestricted immigration/amnesty bill.
We had an oppty to give one last amnesty -in exchange- for a full fence. Instead, we got 1/3 of a fence that the Dims can now de-fund, and do the amnesty in their favor anyway.
Brilliant!

They don't trust or vote GOP... they bring their socialist tendencies from Mexico with them and are the first to learn how to work our system for all the freebee's.. sorry if you disagree, but it's a fact.Wow. Good for you. I'm glad you've met ALL of THEM so you can tell me what THE FACT is. LOL.
I live near Austin and I work regularly in California. I meet plenty of full-bore citizens who are democrats and leftists and socialists and outright world-worker-party communists.
But I also meet plenty of hard-working illegal mexicans, as well as hispanics that were born in the US and can't roll their r's to save their ass. I assure you, when you visit a construction site, and the foreman of the concrete crew is hispanic and his crew is just as likely all illegals, who knows, but I've heard Rush Limbaugh on their radios when not playing coochy-coochy music! All I have seen, is that these are a lot harder working people and more ethical (Ive never had tools stolen by then, but I have had them 'lost' by friends) than any of the "white-liberals or black-rednecks" as Thomas Sowell calls them.

All that you have stated doesn't change the fact they are violating our laws just by being in the United States. If they are such upstanding people then they would return to their country and enter the U.S. in accordance with our laws just as thousands if not millions of other people are waiting to do so legally.
These illegal aliens are stealing. They are stealing our Democracy by not respecting our laws. It is a threat to our country that needs to be addressed by sending them back where they came.
Your freely admit on a public forum you know they are here illegally. You should turn any illegal aliens into the authorities. Failure to do so means you are violating the immigration laws and should be arrested, fined and or imprisoned.

Yeah, blame the institutions, blame the media, neither was in place in 1994, 2000, 2002, 2004. Blame the cause. Those congress-volken who's wives just needed another fur coat, condo or golf trip. Those border-bots, immigration Johnny One-notes, Evangelicals who "had to make them pay". Lay it at their feet. All those dependable constituencies did this.
Yeah..I do blame the media et al. Since you cite history initially in your comment, you might also realize that "Those congress-volken who's wives just needed another fur coat, condo or golf trip" have also been around since the founding, and they aren't going away. The difference is that the public outrage about such "perks" (by and with the media) is unidirectionally hurled at conservatives.
As for the "Johnny One-notes, Evangelicals who "had to make them pay" as you put it, they don't "owe" conservatives their votes to begin with. If they stay home because they're ignored, that's their prerogative.

Well I know hispanics, here legally, and they vote straight D, one who voted for Arnold said here family almost disowned her.. I work for an MD who treats medi-cal patients and believe me, they learn really fast how to manipulate our system, they know it better than we do... and the taxpayers foot the bill. Over a $1000 per taxpayer in California and over $700 here in Arizona.. Then there is the polls that show Steele lost in MD because the Hispanics refused to vote for a black man...
You don't mind so in your estimate it's okay they are definitely going to come in even larger numbers now and as soon as this new congress and WH declare amnesty our country will never be the same.

People on this very site have been against every single thing the GOP and Bush have done.... People in the very GOP and Bush have been quite solidly against conservatism.

Wow. You work for a doctor, so you know the minds of all latinos.
You don't mind so in your estimate...
And you seem to think you can read MY mind, too! Wow.
How come you're not the MD? You're so damn smart!

Your freely admit on a public forum you know they are here illegally. How's that? Did you know I can be hauled into court for questioning anyone I suspect of being an illegal alien? We've had Republicans in Congress for 12 years, and the laws in Texas still allow me to be hauled into court by the ACLU for "pestering" an illegal alien. Why did you let that happen?
