"I never used that particular adjective. I'll leave it to you to decide whether it's appropriate now."
Ah I never had a problem with "The Architect" I just think way too many people gave him way too much in the way of credit.
Find another place that matches your philosophy .. like DU! Scram!
The war is over man and we lost it. America wants Iraq done and over with. As wrong as that decision is, it's been made. Being angry won't change crap.
We have to quit voting for these danged third party people, didn't we learn anything from Perot?
Take an asprin and go to bed.
Nah. Let him rage; I think he's got an 'angle' on this that alot of others around here could do well to adopt, to wit: we take our loss with a stiff drink (or three) tonight, and begin two long years of kicking serious ass tomorrow morning.
Now I must retire, for 0-dark-30 cometh apace.
Good night. We're all praying....while the rats re-elect people like William "$96k in the freezer" Jefferson.
Yep, check out what the Libertarians did to Talent..
U.S. Senate - Missouri
U.S. Senate 90.4% of 3,746 precincts reporting
Candidate Party Vote Count % Votes Cast
Claire McCaskill Dem 923,585 49.1%
Jim Talent (I) GOP 898,444 47.7%
Frank Gilmour Lib 43,592 2.3%
Some people just can't deal with reality.
Yeah...and don't forget all the illegals that probably voted.
Hmmm...at the risk of sounding like the Black Knight in Monty Python's The Meaning of Life, it would appear there is still some life left with Burns in Montana. With 70% of precincts reporting, he's closed to 7400 votes of Tester. And Tester's big districts are already in.
"Maybe one could mathematically prove that fraudulent votes provided the margin of victory, but the standards are generally impossibly high."
Damn, I hate logic. :-)
No . . . it seems there has been a complete failure to communicate the necessity of it. People are sick of it and they want to disengage from it.
Let's see if the president and the Democrats can engineer an effective way to do so. There is every chance that Iraq's fate is ENTIRELY in the hands of the Iraqi People and that our time there is through. W
e had faith in them when they voted. We had faith in them when they elected a government. Now it it time to have faith that they will get their security situation in order. Clearly, they have a choice to make and they'll have to make it NOW.
Yes also I would like to pint out we have several local websites and starting about 5-6 months back we were inundated with supposed local "former Republican posters" fed up with the corruption and such.
I contacted our local Republican party and even called some State party number they gave me to report what I was seeing but they blew me off.
Let me tell ya what I witnessed was a very very very good very very stealthy disinformation campaign.
I would like to see if we can figure out how well organized sometime.
I was able to track some of the IP numbers to out of state ISP addresses (the IP numbers are displayed next to the posters name in t a couple of the local blogs.)
I knew something was up when we had about 10-12 posters are talk the same message on Abortion (which was huge in the turnout in this area last election)
The disinformation was: Abortion ins no longer a Political matter it is before the Supreme Court now and is a legal matter. Also Strickland is an Ordained minister and Blackwell didn't go after Taft till they were all caught and he just tried to save himself and so on and so on.
It was very effective locally. I saw alot of Catholics with Strickland stickers on their cars. None of them would believe me about him. They cited him being an ordained minister, and as such would never Veto and Abortion bill brought up in Ohio.
>>It looks like Burns is probably toast, too.<<
The burns camp is saying there are a lot of Republican precincts in the one third not counted yet.
Well, at least here in Arizona we had to show ID..
I don't know about butt kicking but its definately not over.
There was definitely bad stuff going on here in OH.
