Yes also I would like to pint out we have several local websites and starting about 5-6 months back we were inundated with supposed local "former Republican posters" fed up with the corruption and such.
I contacted our local Republican party and even called some State party number they gave me to report what I was seeing but they blew me off.
Let me tell ya what I witnessed was a very very very good very very stealthy disinformation campaign.
I would like to see if we can figure out how well organized sometime.
I was able to track some of the IP numbers to out of state ISP addresses (the IP numbers are displayed next to the posters name in t a couple of the local blogs.)
I knew something was up when we had about 10-12 posters are talk the same message on Abortion (which was huge in the turnout in this area last election)
The disinformation was: Abortion ins no longer a Political matter it is before the Supreme Court now and is a legal matter. Also Strickland is an Ordained minister and Blackwell didn't go after Taft till they were all caught and he just tried to save himself and so on and so on.
It was very effective locally. I saw alot of Catholics with Strickland stickers on their cars. None of them would believe me about him. They cited him being an ordained minister, and as such would never Veto and Abortion bill brought up in Ohio.
There was definitely bad stuff going on here in OH.
Too bad you couldn't track it back to Howard Dean ... it really was he who brought elections full-tilt into the internet age...
