Please Mods can we have one central Live thread ...its tough jumping from thread to thread to get results.
This just goes to show the level of information that filters down to the average voter. Patricia Madrid is quite possibly the dumbest candidate to ever run for a House seat, yet she may win.
McClintock ahead!!!
I don't think we're going to hold MO. Actually, right now, MD actually looks better than MO.
There's not enough vote in for MT yet.
I'm still holding out some hope of something breaking our way, although my expectations aren't high.
;-)
A lot of so-called conservative talking heads are so full of themselves and bloviate to beat the band that they nauseate me. Like Novak. Luckily, I don't have a TV anymore so I don't have to see or hear them.
I have a lot of differences with GW, for instance illegal aliens and waaaaay too much spending. But I vote a straight R ticked with very few exceptions, no matter what.
Politicians need to be more like statesmen and less like fawning eunuchs. The "I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine" and old boy network crap is ruinous. Politics is more than a horse race; the Democrats are the evil party and if their policies are enacted it's all over. Finito.
Well, we did our job in Tennessee and beat Harold Ford, Jr.
So what is wrong with the voters in MO and MT and VA?
Of course, I'm now listening to Lamar! introduce Bill Frist who will introduce Bob Corker declaring victory.
Goodness, I can smell the "moderate wimpiness".
No, it was posted earlier on this thread, and appeared on Fox, that Bush said he was going to work with the Dems on "comprehensive immigration reform."
Leading me to wonder whether he carefully worked to sell out the Republican party on this matter...
Or, in other words:
"Rove, you Bastard!"
Everyone is getting blamed tonight. I was thinking about how bad this is but we still have a good president in office that is liked by probably even a lot of the Dems that voted today. Things could be a lot worse. We'll be ok.
Yep, exactly. We will mostly be out of Iraq by Christmas 2007.
janice rogers brown has zero chance of being confirmed. zero. there are other female choices who could be confirmed, but not her.
huh?....Fox said they quit counting for the night. Is Shep rummaging around in some voting boxes?
Oh really??? Savage has 8.25 million. Beck has 3 million... I accept your apology
PA and VA have manufacturing and blue collar Reagan Democrats who want someone to look after their interest as our country goes headlong into the global economy. Nobody in Washington addresses the impact of job losses from outsourcing, wage depression by H-1B workers and illegal immigrants. Whatever corporate America wants, Washington gives. Well the Dems got smart this time, they went into blue collar GOP districts with conservative candidates that offer increases in minimum wage and a review of CAFTA and other trade agreements. That is more than what the GOP is willing to offer them, so in 2006 many Reagan blue collar Democrats are willing to give the Dems a chance. Many of the GOP blue collar districts, the Dems won by small margins.
Amen to that. Don't even get me started on the 'teach 'em a lesson' crowd, FReepers included...
Exactly...get some.
They won't expire right away. 2010 or later IIRC.
anyone for Miguel Estrada?
The talking heads are talking about replacing Rummy.
