#5,682. Guess he'll have to fight it out with Rangel over that one.

The social right got their teeth kicked in. To beat hillary we need someone with compentency and star power. Social issues just got stiff-armed. It will be Romney or Rudy.

"I despise moderate Republicanism."

Actually I can take moderate Republicanism, its the Liberal Republicanism that pisses me off.

Although I do not believe creating a democratic republic in the Arab world is possible, and would rather we went the "total war" route, it's only three provinces in the middle of Iraq that are causing problems. The rest of the country is pacified.

Agree. I cannot recall a night so terrible. I am so enraged.
I have a neighbor that is a rat and has been talking smack all week. I may go egg his friggin' house. And whip his ass tomorrow when he comes to blame me for it.

97% of workers are above the minimum wage. All this does is bloat up union salaries, which are multiples of the minimum salary and cause inflation. In fact, this is one of the biggest causes of inflation! This is how the Dims pay back their union thugs. It must appeal to low income voters who don't have a clue where their money will come from. We are sure going to have fun with a Rat house control!

I'm sure you already knew this. I'm probably speaking to the choir!

Um guys, I am counting Dem pick ups in the house that are actually in the bag by full vote count - and I've only got +13 net right now. Maybe 14. Republicans are taking one Dem seat in GA and 3 opens in MI, MN, and IL.

Please consider the "trending"--that is, those where the R is ahead, but all of the R-leaning precincts have *already* been counted.

I know there are sites and analysts which do this, but unfortunately I have no links.

NO cheers, unfortunately.

Well I hate to say this, but the Republicans have nobody to blame but themselves for this.

Indeed.

I hope that we can learn from this, and emerge in two years even stronger, but I fear I may be hoping for too much.

The finger-pointing has already begun...

"Really, unless they're news junkies like we are, all they hear, 24/7 is what a disaster the war is. Hell, I'd think the same way if I didn't keep up as much as I do."

You just nailed it. The MSM won because they know how to play the game.

You're either young, or you have no knowledge of recent history. BOTH?

Get some sleep. We'll debate the battle plan tomorrow. You're apparently not ready for it tonight.
