Oh, give me a break. The GOP never mocked Moderates. McCain has done his best to service the "moderates" and stop any conservative progress. Meanwhile Dems run conservative campaigns and win.
I chalk this entiely on the head of McCain and the Rockefeller Republicans that got a lot of what they wanted and still jumped ship. Absolutely worthless. I'd trade them for the Indy's that went for "conservative" Dems in a heartbeat.
