Please Mods can we have one central Live thread ...its tough jumping from thread to thread to get results.
Several MSM editors and producers are sweating bullets now.
LOL. Go read through my extensive posting history here and then come back for a long discussion, fella.
correction: "under" should be "understand" of course.
That was the rest of Arlington coming in. Not much left now.
We lost tonight to the media, pure and simple. The media has bashed Bush since he took office and the democrats used that to their advantage. Here in Maryland, the only ads the democrats ran were those that compared Ehrlich and Steele to Bush. Did they ever say what THEY stood for or what they intended to do if elected? Nope, just vote for me because if you vote for Steele, it's just like voting for Bush. Well, guess what? Now, the Democrats will have to put up or shut up once and for all. Let's see what kind of leadership they can offer. NONE.
It sure does.
You do good work!!!!!
Then where do you see DeWine's strength? He was pro-tax and pro-war, but also pro-green and neutral to Bush. Where was a right-leaning or even moderate voter to find a handhold on his record?
There are nearly a billion Muslims, and there isn't any democracy in any country in which they dominate. These people are getting the governments they deserve. Things are no different today than what Mark Twain described in describing Jerusalem in 1866:
Rags, wretchedness, poverty and dirt, those signs and symbols that indicate the presence of Moslem rule more surely than the crescent-flag itself, abound.
Our splendid military is meant for better than trying to uplift these people to what they don't want, don't deserve, and will never have.
All Muslim countries including Iraq will continue to be tyrannies regardless of what we do. We will need our military free to deal with rigorously with their dictators.
I thought again-- you are wrong.
As reported above:
Virginia
93.21% in
G F Allen Republican 1,063,772 49.83%
J H Webb Jr Democratic 1,045,345 48.97%
Quick Excel calculation:
Allen needs 44% of the remaining vote to win
Allen got 42.2% of the last 12,454 votes posted
Conclusion: If the remaining votes are coming from Democrat stongholds Allen is in trouble and will lose narrowly. If anyone is tracking this close enough to know what districts are holding the uncounted ballots should be able to help us make the call early.
We need this one.
You're VERY good at that..........*snicker*
Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzt.
Wrong.
richmond precincts coming in, but I still think Allen wins - even if it goes to the absentee/military ballots.
The REAL lesson of tonight is that it was a good night for Independents.
Republicans do not win elections.
Neither do Democrats.
Neither are a majority, anywhere.
Both are minorities.
It's the Independents who choose one side over the other in any particular election.
Tonight, where there was a clear Independent choice: economically liberal, militarily conservative, he won.
Big.
There's a lesson there.
Neither party, of course, wants to learn it.
Republicans are not losing seats tonight because REPUBLICANS turned on their own. They are losing because INDEPENDENTS are sick of the party.
Any one have more information on the FBI being called into the 9th IN race?....Something about absentee ballots and Bloomington?????
Precincts Reporting: 2304 of 2443 (94.31%)
Registered Voters: 4,555,686 Total Voting: 2,164,556 Voter Turnout: 47.51 %
Candidates Party Vote Totals Percentage
G F Allen Republican 1,075,216 49.67%
J H Webb Jr Democratic 1,063,284 49.12%
G G Parker Independent Green 23,936 1.11%
Closer but holding.
Not to worry, Chicos.
Nah, he's been posting VA results all night, always in the same format.
Are you saying there is CAUSE for it??
Incapable of defending his postions on anything?? I'm calling you out, troll. You are a liar.
