Could that have been downtown Richmond that had the latest results?

VA Republican turnout higher than 2004, per FNC. "Ridulously high turnout" according to FNC.
I can see that. I live on the border of Fairfax and Loudoun Counties, and have voted at my current polling place since the 2003 (off year) elections - right about the same time of day (7am).
In the past three cycles (03, 04 and 05) the number of voters carrying the Dem sample ballots into the polls was significantly higher than those carrying the GOP ones. This year the situation was exactly the opposite, more GOP ballots than Dems. Just anecdotal, I know, but still pretty interesting ...

But some of those precints reporting in are from Alexandria-couldn't be bluer up there.

Hopefully those Webb numbers are coming from Blue VA (a.k.a. Northern VA). I did notice that southern districts did not have counts in yet.

alexandria is as blue as it comes. By the way my fiancees father who is an independent working class democrat voted for Allen. He is Loudon County NOrthern virginia. I of course did too.:) I didn't ask him to he did it on his own. That is a good sign.

I spent last weekend in Melfa. I got to see some of the towns around there on Atlantic and Chesapeake side. Beautiful country and quaint towns. What a neat place to live! Where do you vote?
I am in GA and the weather was bad, but the turnout in my precinct looked pretty good. I have been really optimistic, because the Media tries to scare you and they are so often wrong, but right now I think my blood pressure is rising and I probably ought to just hibernate until I know the results are in.

Where's Henrico county? It's the other really heavy blue area so far.

Alexandria City is going 76% for the dem... Alex City is so blue, that Moran used to be their Mayor. Not a surprise to me (Moran's my Congresscritter, unfortunately).
