"The good news for Allen is that the turnout is as big in Southwest as in the Northern D.C. suburbs."

And a few hours ago Major Garrett and Carl Cameron said turnout for Repubs. was not good and was bad news for Allen. Go figure.

indicator I have says the GOP base turned out.

I hope so. I'm optimistic, because it's better than being pessimistic.
The turn out is pretty high all over from what I've read.

I think we'll hold the House. The Blue Wave? I haven't seen it.

I don't know how the moderate repubs will feel about this development... sure, they maintain control of the congress, but they lose a perfectly good whipping boy:)

Anybody notice if Shep on FNC is actually pro-Republican today? I just saw him a bit ago as I was flipping and he was ripping the Democrat on today.

Hannity is reporting that the turnout for both Dems and Reps is about 32% each for locations that are being monitored. So our turnout is at least equal to that of the Rats.

Anecdote # 1,250:

Extremely heavy turnout at polling today in my town in MA. Had to park at the high school and walk up the hill to town hall to vote. Don't know what this means since the only uncontested race is for governor, with Healey (R) 21 points behind Patrick (D) as of yesterday. Ted "Shamu" Kennedy is running against a token R who is about 90% behind in the polls. Martha "detroy all guns" Coakley is running unapposed for AG. It's pathetic. So why the huge turnout?
